Sunday evening the remains of the huge solar storm were still visible in the satellite data, but weather forecast promised nothing but clouds. After finalising my previous video, I was going to bed around 01:30 and took a peek outside. To my surprise the sky was clear so I drove to nearby Nautelankoski rapids, hoping to break my record for latest date of the season for auroras. And yes, you could see auroras moving against the very bright northern sky. These timelapses captured between 02:00 and 02:30.
