Australia won 5 out of their 6 World Cups on Foreign soil because they weren't crying about luck, toss or pitch conditions
@SilentHotdog28
@SilentHotdog28 9 месяцев назад
Exactly. India doctored the pitch to their liking and Australia caught them out and used the pitch to their own advantage, they turned an away game, into a home game.......that is very difficult to do. Plus chasing is not Australia's strong suit, infact Australia have a fairly poor record chasing. But Australia were defiant and chose to go all guns blazing using their weakness, but turned it into a strength. India were caught with their hand in the cookie jar and had now escape, they just had to face the punishment. There was no plan B, or plan C......Even when India looked to be in a commanding position, Australia were cool, calm and collected and just stuck to plan and it worked in their favour......I think India were shellshocked.

Rajdeep is right. Indian cricket authorities over strategized with a slow pitch, though Indian team wanted to bat first and the two Indian spinners are not that big turners of the ball. Aussies took advantage of that strategic mismatch between Indian pitch administration and the team. This is what finally happens when you put a major politician's son who has not touched a cricket bat to head the BCCI. Also, this same son's bad, highly corrupt decisions ( like banning Sri Lanka) will create a definite diplomatic headache for Indian government in the coming months.

I think Shubman Gill's wicket made all the difference. He's such a good player who not only rotates the strike but gets those big clean risk-free sixes and fours and for him to go so softly not to mention Shreyas Iyer's dismissal, these were the situations where the tide turned towards Australia. In hindsight we can come up with various theories of how this or that would have changed the outcome, does it really matter who wins. Just because you are Indian don't think any other race is inferior. On a given day, even David can slay Goliath!!

But its also true that Rohit's template of replicating 2019 Jason Roy was bound to fail at some point Its only sustainable for teams who have batting till no. 10... Not for India where you need top 5 to bat 40 overs .. Rohit should've reverted to normal mode after shubman's wicket...and tried to play till 20-25th over ...which shubman did all tournament after Rohit got out

India was outplayed by Australia. They had a meticulous strategy from the start, from their statistical research they knew to bowl first due to the dew having an impact later on the pitch. Rotatating the bowling often so India couldn’t get into a rhythm which is what happened after they lost 3 wickets. Their clever fielding placement as well to restrict runs and they were aggressive in the field from the start. After Australia lost 3 wickets they stayed calm and still played aggressively unlike India who hit just one 4 in 90 balls. Australia has won 6 World Cups for a reason.

Cummin's captaincy in the final, his bowling performance and also him standing alone with the Cup. 2. Shami bagging seven wickets. 3. Zampa taking 23 wickets. 4. Travis Heads 134 and the catch he took in the final. 5. Maxwell's 201*, especially given the position we were in. 6. Angelo Mathew's strap ripping under pressure. 7. Kohli's 85 against Australia in the group match. 8. Rohit Sharma taking on Pakistani Bowlers. 9. NZ scoring 400+ and still losing to Pakistan. 10. Afghans defending their total against Pommies. 11. South Africa successfully chasing Pakistan.

India bowled only 2 balls into the pitch during the Australian innings. Both resulted in the ball being hard to hit. But they were afraid to continue with them. Australia played without fear weren't going to talk adnauseum BS and make excuses which totally contradict reality like the so called expert panelist. And by the way Australia did win in a canter.

I'm Australian and I agree. India would have been much more likely to win on such a surface. On an even playing field such as a batting wicket, India are better than Australia gun for gun. Australia could still have won, because there was pressure on India being the favourites and at home, but there were less variables to worry about. Australia noticed the flaws and benefits in the doctored pitch and took advantage, turning an away match into a home match.

Respectfully India lost that game because of Jadeajah.When Jadeajah ends the game not out more often than not India wins the game.Fourty runs from Jadeajah would have given the bowlers more to defend.Jadeajah was supposed to chaperone the tail enders and maybe the team gets 295 runs or just over 300 runs.

The whole pitch excuse is super lame. The Aussies played much better cricket today than India and as a result, they won comfortably. Gill, Iyer, SKY, Siraj looked extremely ordinary today perhaps due to the pressure of the World Cup final. KL Rahul played an odd test match-like inning.

The Australians really deserved that win. India tried their best throughout the tournament to take home the trophy, even resorting to some questionable tactics like cheating. It's worth noting that some high-ranking officials in the ICC are Indians, and the Indian team gets solid support from them. Despite all that, the Aussies didn't let it bother them. They stayed focused, played with consistency and discipline, and in the end, they came out on top against India and lifted the trophy. Well done Aussies.

I strongly disagree with Kohli been awarded man of the tournament for finishing second. I really like him very much but the award should have given to a person that his innings have a bearing on winning the final or even keeping them in the running before the final. Australia did have a few players that did that.

History will show India lost, Why ? Because Australia are the world champions! Typical complaints from losing teams. India at home on Indian wickets ! This video explains why India didn’t win! Attitude attitude attitude, Look at how Australia act, talk and play. Now look at how India respond. To all these commentators, keep making excuse because thats the Indian culture. It was a pitch made by Indians in India for India. India and the commentators believed it was India,s right to win! Boys, you lost and Australia won, actually Australia always win 😁 6 world cup wins, those are the facts. To win you must be the best under all conditions, excuses will keep you losing! Australia believes they can win under any conditions. India believe its their right to win! History keeps on repeating for Australia and I N D I A India will stay the same until someone in India stands up. One man has always stood tall, the Master Sachin. Unfortunately his temperament is to be supportive and say it as it is. Alan Border, Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Pat Cummins. Look at how they stood up and made it happen. Attitude attitude attitude

With Kohli & KL, just bowl 6 deliveries on the offstump moving away and they will handover their wickets. Or easier, just whisper Jimmy Anderson, and they will surrender.

India simply weren’t good enough on the day - you are being seen here as very poor losers in blaming the pitch - blame your batters and bowlers for the loss.
