U know when u say u didn't thought u can lose, there was a problem. As allmost indian supporter were thinking. When u know u could lose there u start working on that the issues to achieve the goals What my take from this wc was(though not an expert and hasnt seen matches as well😅), no one thought we(india as I'm indian) could lose, not even the players, so strategy was lacking, so when we were shaken by aussie we seems lost and aussies came with perfect one and of course almost everything clicked for them. Reason for India Loss 1. Gill and Rohit threw away their wickets, like t20, when there was so many overs left. In ODI you need to bat long to score big hundreds, just 20 - 30 is not enough. 2. No attacking field placements or strategy, they were giving 5 - 6 runs in singles and twos when spinner were bowling, when asking rate was 4. They needed to bring fielders to stop singles so they play big risky shots. You can't defend 4 runs / over, it is just clueless strategy by captain / management. 3. If Siraj is not bowling with new ball, then should have played Ashwin. Else should have stuck to same Siraj with new ball, and Shami 1st change. 4. Why make dry spin pitch? Then toss becomes a factor. India should have made a good batting pitch, like semifinal vs NZ. Most frustrating thing is the cricketers and support staff who are paid crores, cannot think of these basic strategies, and keep repeating the same mistakes again and again!

Mohammed Siraj was the biggest flop alongside SKY in the World Cup for India he only performed well against Sri Lanka. His record vs the top 7 teams in the points table was 7 wickets in 59.3 overs average 52 strike rate 51 economy 6.11 his best match was 50/2. Even against Bangladesh he bombed taking 60/2 in 10 overs. He was an absolute disaster with the kind of support he had with Bumrah, Shami, Kuldeep & Jadeja all in brilliant form. His record would have been much worse otherwise.
