Hi All, Today we are taking a look at Auscision's 422 Class DCC Sound in HO Scale. These are available from Auscision or Australian Modeler. www.auscisionmo... www.australian...
I have to admit, the DCC sound - esp when notching up to max doesn't replicate the actual external sound very well. It sounds like they obviously captured the engine rev in cab, which was done well, but it doesn't have the same 'rattlesnake' signature you hear normally from outside.
Great stuff. I'm planning to get back into the hobby myself - have just purchased an Auscision NR. Interested to know what track type and controller you use and if you'd recommend them? Cheers.
Hi Aus Flight Channel. I use Peco code 100 Track as its much cheaper than smaller codes. For control i use a Roco Z21 with the mobile phone control app. If i ever do a proper layout with scenery I want to use Code 70 as its much better in scale appearance. Hope you enjoy getting back into this hobby!
I have 42214 in Indian Red. Wanted to get 42220, but none left at that time. Personally I prefer the original liveries, as it keeps with seminal tradition and origin. Although I do agree it's good to occasionally break out and have a change of colour. It's good most railway modellers have updated their box packaging over the years, as earlier examples - esp Powerline and Lima were woefully packed.
I love indian red on 43, 44's and of course tuscan 80's. But variety is the spice of life. I also wished id picked up 42220, its a very popular locomotive!
@@James504 Yes the 43s and 44s shine in Indian, and not bad esp the 44s in red terror. The 80s also look good in Freightrail Blue. Infact, FR Blue was a very versatile livery. Candy looked very meh, except on the 81.
