Awe I thought Dr. Chris was going to put cool spoons on Kenny's sore eyes. I was like that's cute. Give the guy some cucumber slices or sumn. Poor lil dude.
I was thinking the same thing when I seen him get those two spoons. I was like oh he’s going to. Put them on his eyes to cool them off and help the swelling. Lol 😂
@@razor-wd2pc I agree that! It´s so interesting to see, when they working together. Both of them, they have different long experience in they´s career. And good sense of humor.
That got to me too. So many people don't understand that animals not only feel pain, but they also have emotions. She was depressed and lackadaisical because she was in pain, but also because she wasn't able to keep her babies alive. Glad she found a mate!
I love the names they come up with. Kenny is just cute as a bug in a rug! These people love these little animals so much& it shows! Great job is done by all. I love Tim. He reminds me of the crocodile man. His face is so expressive it's comical. I love the Bondi vet show.
Theresa Patterson you are exactly correct! My sentiments exacty. My brain would not give me Steve Irwins name when I wanted it. But that's exactly who I was referring to in my earlier comment. All my brain wanted to give me was the crocodil e man! Jeez! You hit the nail on the head! Thank you for the help!
I've watched Kenny several times. I am utterly in love with this little guy! So dang sweet and incredibly cute. I'm so glad that Chris could help him. So, my favorite Aussie animals are wombats and tazzies! ❤
Also the contrast of an Aussie vet in a humble car living with mates is so refreshing and massively contrasted to the flashy materialism of other places. Priorities. Thank you Bondi, SASH and all the beloved carers, rescuers, sanctuaries and other vets/surgeons/nurses that are ALL so down to earth. We love you for your authenticity and heart. And for the example you set for Aussie children about what's important.
Well said, but really it’s not limited to Aussie children. I’m in America, and I know these videos are every bit as popular here (and around the world) as they are back home in Oz.
@@amylee3531 Yes, we also have great wildlife care and vets who are willing to help us care for them when they need it. I am impressed with the Australian wildlife services, and the public awareness of the importance of their animals. All the Vets on this show are amazing. Tim is so passionate about his job it just warms the heart.🖤🇨🇦
I've always loved wombats, even though I've only seen them in books and on videos. If this virus ever gets under control and I get to Australia, the one thing I can't go home without doing will be to meet a wombat.
Definitely meet a quokka as well if you ever come here, they are the most adorable little things and they don't fear humans, so super easy to pet and get pics with! Look up Rottnest Island, basically an island full of little cuddly creatures!
Me too😊. I love all possum animals. Me also, i have seen them only books, and videos. I appreciate that work, what Tim and others doing in Reptile Park.❤💙.
I thought Tim said "We made a cake together" before I realized what he actually said. So no way was I picturing a tiny lil Kenny in a chef's hat helping Dad bake a chocolate cake. Nope, not at all.
@@amandacrawford4748 I think he said "We medicate together" since he's taking his medicine when Kenny takes his antihistamine. I still wanna see him in a lil hat tho. Think I might have to draw it
If I didn't feel so strongly that native animals need to stay in their native environments, I would love to have a wombat. They are completely adorable!!
Poor Meg the Koala! I've had mastitis, and it's painful! Fever and painful, torturous pressure. So glad she is better! Hopefully she can have another Joey!
One thing worth noting with Kenny the wombat is that antihistamines actually do not affect the release or production of histamine. They work by competitive binding; they bind to receptors on cells for histamine, which means histamine can't bind and therefore can't cause symptoms. In cases where antihistamines aren't sufficient, they can be used in conjunction with medications that actually will reduce the rate of release of histamine, called mast cell stabilizers, such as Ketotifen Fumirate, Cromolyn Sodium, etc. These mast cell stabilizers also help control the rate of release of the other 200+ inflammatory chemicals reduced by mast cells, which are key immune cells. As someone with a mast cell disorder, the distinction is more important than many realize! But antihistamines are a very important tool in allergy and mast cell disorder treatment.
Poor Kenny it’s heartbreaking to see them suffering! I had no doubts that Dr. Chris would help him out & get him on the mend though! I live in Scotland & I have a allergic reaction to the moss on the trees in the autumn. My eyes itch & my throat swells. I can totally sympathies with this sweet baby!
I’m actually not surprised by Kenny’s grass allergy at all. Because he’s not the first grass-dependent animal I’ve heard of with it. I’ve heard another case years ago regarding a riding horse who was allergic to grass. They had to give him medicines, special food, baths, blankets, a special mask, and all sorts of things to protect him.
As someone allergic to grass, when Tim told his story about Kenny’s first walk & showed that picture, my immediate thought was a grass allergy. But I brushed it off, because why & how would a wombat be allergic to grass??
Fortunately, many animals are rescued by animal lovers every year. Some animals are treated and recover, or are rescued from difficult situations and return to nature. Some animals disappear into the wild as if they are running away, while others show their gratitude to the humans who helped them before parting. They express their gratitude in a variety of ways, such as hugging and licking, but it is clear that the animals, who cannot communicate with humans, are trying their best to express their gratitude.😍🐶🐶🐕😻🥰😘
I always wanted to become a vet but veterinary college is very expensive so.. I was inspired by these veterinarians so what I do now is feed stray animals whenever I see them
Poor Hank having to hold that snake, that would have been scary, fantastic job keeping his cool and his strength. Love Kenny the wombat 🥰 Tim & Chris 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
30,09 almost cried, didn't know penguins could get ticks 😲, great job examining him n deciding to administer the anti tick serum was the tight choice. It gave him a chance. I'm really worried about our wildlife...so I was so happy to see him take off into the sea. Wish him all the best. Great job for helping to save wildlife 👏
My dog is allergic to grass. She was a rescue that was dumped by some irreputable dog farmers (I refuse to use the term breeder for anyone who doesn't do it responsibly) and she has a couple health issues. One is a grass allergy. It's annoying as hell but we manage and she's happy and as healthy as she can be these days. Not many folks are willing to take a special needs pup, and understandably so; it's expensive and time-consuming and can limit family activities depending on the condition. We fortunately have the time and energy (and income) to handle this condition. Good thing, too, she's the most well-behaved and best tempered pup I've ever had the pleasure to own (and I've had a few now).
I owned a dog like this who passed last november, her name was batty, an old rescue frenchie we took in for end of life care. She was poorly bred, badly docked, and allergic to grass. She was a darling for the time we had her, sometimes the most maintenence are the sweetest!
I think so,2. I’ve never seen one and to see a baby…I’m in love. I love my bunnies, cats and dogs but bc they’re rescues I don’t see any babies. He’s so chub and nub at the same time. ❤️
These videos always put a big smile on my face! And tears, but mostly smiles!! This chapter was full adorable babies I wish I could hug 🥺 My favorite has to be the penguin, I have a soft spot for them. Tho I relate to the wombats and his grass allergy, I'm also allergic to something that is found on city air, so...
My heart goes out to Australians experiencing flooding. In 2008 my co.munity suffered from a 1000 year flood. We lost like 8500 homes and. businesses. It was terrible. River was 13 feet above flood stage. So my heart and prayers go to those going through it now. Susan in Iowa.
It wasn’t a shortgrass he was on once he hit that long grass and he wanted to play in it. That’s when he got sick.😂❤ poor little baby. He’s all itchy now.
Hugo is such a cutie! I've got a big old tabby cat who's got a cauliflower ear, from being a bit too rowdy back when he was a barn cat. Now he's a big old cuddle bug who's not allowed outside 😂
Penguins and wombats are two of my favorite animals. Kudos to the folks who cared enough to get help for possums and penguins and such. Paralysis ticks?! New fear unlocked.
Reptile keeper Billy is such a champ! His hand was cramping from early on and he still said they had as long as they needed and just asked that they hurry a little bit. What a Chad!
A wombat being allergic to grass is like a human being allergic to meat....which I am!! I feel for you little buddy, I've been there 😭🥺 The itching of the poor guy, I had the same reaction and I wanted to skin myself with a carrot peeler. Glad he's able to take walks now!!
