@@therig1339indeed. Cleetus is helping pave the way for PROPER burnout comps. Along with Hoonigan. They love our skid culture. It's awesome seeing it recognised
@@s4ss.m8 love to see the sport grow in general ♥️ it is awesome that its finally getting recognition 👌its a mission to build these cars so you can flog them , yet also have them looking good again after events. Lots of work and our guys have it nailed 🇦🇺
I FKN LOVE the Aussie burnout cars.. Bashernats and Summernats, I watch online every year! Us yanks need to get on board with more burnout cars, and competitions
Aussies definitely show the world how to do a burnout. It is nice to see Cleetus working to bring it to the states. It’s come a long way so far but has a long way to go to really catch up. Out of all of the cars, I would still have to say War Bird is my favorite.
There isn't any burnout like an Aussie burnout or (skid)! They got it right over there! We need more of this here! Anyone can do a standing burnout, but not everyone can do a skid like they do! Love it!
I was about 24 the first time I heard of using the brakes to stand still and do a burnout and it was all hush toned under the table type stuff as its just not a done thing round here to touch the brakes during a skid 😂 still didn't try it till I was like 30.... No idea where or why it started but I love our power skid culture and the fact that brakes are not so looked down upon anymore as there has been a few blokes hurt bad trying to protect that pride.
@allanthomas7345 yeah, or least my generation and region of Aus a "foot on" or using brakes was seen as a sign your car either lacks power or you lack skill if it needs brakes to rip a good skid. Line locking rears and using fronts was also seen as a lack of skill or power. ""Real Cars/Men"" just use, steering, gears, throttle and heat to not grip/tank slap mustang style into people 😅 or there was just no mobile phone cameras and internet to see the carnage... If you see cars up trees here on the side of the road its not the car got stuck and it grew up, the buggers jump 😆 mate managed to cut off a power pole about 14ft up with a ford laser 1.6 so you can imagine what the big ones would of managed at times.
@allanthomas7345 same generation different region, offroad for rallying and stuff was totally acceptable/standard as everywhere else, done a heap of mountain passes and stuff in mates euro cars and had a couple gemis built for hill climb and stuff. Street cars though it was all just straight up power skids and light on the back was weakness. Was people that disconnected them for that reason. Very little skid pads here could be one reason why was different here but mates from country Vic were very left foot averse also when it come to street skids but competed in drags and burnouts.
The Aussie burnout cars just sound so unique! They even put special rear-end ratios for the absolute most smoke possible! Super glad they taught Cleetus lol
Winning the Americas cup Cathy freeman winning gold at Sydney Olympics Aussies beating the poms in anything All proud moments. Aussies ripping skids at SEMA just makes a grown man cry with pride.
With that much smoke they could do some awesome lighting effects through the smoke, like throw some red/orange spottys behind each tyre shining outward would look cool through the smoke. Maybe give them a flicker or colour shift to look like fire.
The green toyota truck reminded me of the burnout contest I won in 2002. Smoked out the whole crowd/area, blew the tires, and I blew the radiator just before the engine quit from overheating. Needless to say, the cost of repair was much greater than the trophy I got, lol. Wish the US had more contest like these nowadays but everyone is sue happy and liability kills everything.
Mate that is the best thing I have ever seen I mean WOW . Please drop the word LIKE three times every sentence ,everyone does it you can live without it ..........
The Jeepster was a model Willys Overland made. That was a great refresh/nod to the original though. Would have like to have seen a little more of that.
That lambo with the tent is actually meant to be an off-road Lamborghini from factory it’s the sterrato! Mark mccan has one and put it to the rest off-road even jumping it!
The trouble with modern burnouts. After 10 seconds you can't see the car and the driver can't see the walls. After that it's all noise and listening for when the car hits the concrete jersey barrier. I went to a bunch of the early Summernats.
