Aussie Fabric Shopping Haul! What Will I make? 

Great haul from Spotlight. I chuckled all through,I’m in Australia and I can see a Spotlight from my bedroom window! I’m leaving for the UK in 2 weeks and I have chosen all our accommodation on the basis it’s near fabric! Husband doesn’t know this yet! Really enjoying you vlogs, keep up the great work!👏🇦🇺

Cool choices I’ve just got the pink Paisley to Love it However Im going to ask you for a suggestion please I need a contrast The options are Staying with the punks with a Pink chintz Or to pick up the small bit of pale grey in the Paisley Pale grey blue cotton Or a pale gray rayon I’ve been looking at the three options for just over a week now and cannot make my mind up Any thoughts would be helpful Thanks and really looking forward to see what you do with your piece

Awesome! Spotlight has come a long way with their fabrics. Their rayon is really quite decent. It’s a pity you didn’t get more of the Ellie Whitaker fabric and then you could have gone matchy matchy. Definitely have the splash a pus print for you. I personally think the scale might be a bit large for your daughter at her current size. If it were scaled down it might be better for her. I’d do something like maybe the Donnie shirt but have a look at sone of the newer style arc patterns as they have a shirt pattern released as part of a set. Little Lizard King are great for the kids. Lots of modern styles. My 9 year old is unfortunately sizing out and will need more Styla very soon. But then she’s my tiny giant - very tall for her age and we can blame my Yorkshire born grandfather for that!

Just found your videos. Happy to see an Australian even if you are not here. I would prefer to see you wear and walk around in your garments so we can see what they look like on. We can’t see your tops when you are sitting down. Love your fabric choices. I look forward to future videos.

I have made the sewing caddy with ladies from the sewing group that I attend. It turns out great.

I love the fabrics that you’ve bought amazing that you got to holiday back in Australia 🇦🇺 I lived in Adelaide when I was a child . I’ve got the caddy pattern when I bought it I thought it was going to be actual pattern pieces 😂

Hi, I've just discovered your channel and have of course subscribed. I live in the UK but have just returned from my annual trip to Sydney having visited my daughter and for the first time have visited Spotlight !!! I couldn’t go crazy in there because of luggage restrictions, but the choice of fabrics was impressive to say the least.My only purchase was some beautiful viscose which I plan to make The Hope Dress, next year I will take an empty suitcase.....😂

The indigenous pattern fabric would make an interesting wrap dress.

If you do use platypus fabric for yourself, be careful where that critter lands on your body 😊
