In the first of three videos on our trip to Chennai, India, for the launch of the new Royal Enfield Bullet 350, here is a ride from Chennai to Tirukazhukundram where we had breakfast at the famous Idlers Cafe. It was my first time riding in India and I was riding with BikeReview.com.au contributor and long time friend Alan Cathcart, along with Kel Buckley and a bunch of other journalists as well as Royal Enfield test riders and staff. Why buy this when you can own a GB350 with similar price?

I'd have to ride both, but with Royal Enfield you get a lot of character and almost a century of heritage (the Bullet was born in 1931)... It's a lifestyle choice as much as a bike choice. As hard as they can try, Japanese manufacturers can't quite pull off the retro and classic rep era as well as other brands.

Sadly it had to go - I sold it a few months ago. Hoping to replace it with a Himalayan or a Bullet some time this year, pending the boss of the cash $$$ Heather letting me!

@@BikeReviewcomau Fair enough! Your past interceptor write-ups / videos were great! Found them really helpful to informing my own interceptor purchase. Best of luck with the next RE, couldn’t go wrong with either of those options-:)
