Starting before sunrise, this episode features trucks at work on Vater Street in Dry Creek, where the main yard for Team Global Express/Toll are located, with a number of Mercedes-Benz, Scania, and Volvo tautliner single and B-Doubles heading in and out of the yard in the darkness.
There’s also a Kenworth K200 A-Double container road train slowly turning east under pink skies, a number of bobtail prime movers passing back and forth in the early morning sun, and then the truck I’d been waiting for; a Kenworth T659 hauling Toll’s first ever permitted full-length triple road train out of Adelaide, slowly turning around and driving towards Port Wakefield Road, heading to Queensland with a load of industrial equipment, followed by a tough-sounding Kenworth K108 passing by.
