Greetings from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I purchased a Karli when I lived in Wyoming. It is a well made product and I'm very happy with it. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.

Be careful not to hit a human with the american one, or else it will be classified as an assult boomerang

That’s only if you’re carrying a large capacity boomerang bag.

Can't decide between the stinger or wedge as my first....like the all-around utility of the wedge, tho.
@wozzasboomerang
@wozzasboomerang Год назад
@@T4nkcommander I think they are both good to carry. I think I'm gonna get another Stinger (so I can have 2 shots off with the same tool) and put the throwstick holster for the WWC on my belt (for a backup tool). If I had to choose between the 2 I'd pick the Stinger as it is quite a good all rounder as well as a throwstick. In all honesty you're not going to get many hits past a 40 metre throw with any throwstick and that is where the Stinger is best.
@wozzasboomerang
@wozzasboomerang Год назад
That is unless you are aiming at something quite big of course (for the longer shots).

Great vids Woz, I grew up in kerang Vic and loved chasing rabbits! (I’m in qld now, there’s not many up here) keep up the good work mate 🇦🇺👍

Thanks Brad! I think there's not many rabbits around Kerang now either (thanks to the flood), but I'm sure they'll come back.

Great video! One thing to consider is that the Wedge (and maybe the Karli) aren't tuned for left handers. Dunno if Ben made a special build for you but if not I'm surprised at how well those did!
@wozzasboomerang
@wozzasboomerang Год назад
Thanks! Both the WWC and the Karli are tuned for lefties (these models come in both). The Stinger is for both and does well.

@@wozzasboomerang Hope you are still doing well Wozza! Just wanted to come back and say after spending a couple of days throwing my new Stinger....you are even more ridiculously good than I already thought you were. The distance and accuracy you get is absolutely extraordinary. You're gonna have to do a video and teach us newbies how its done!
@wozzasboomerang
@wozzasboomerang Год назад
@@T4nkcommander Thanks for the update mate! Good to hear the Stinger has arrived, it's still my favourite. Thanks for the compliment 👍When you start out it might seem that the people who can do it are out of reach, but I can tell you that most people could get to my level or even better with the right sort of practice. At my peek I could hit a rabbit every 6 throws (they were all within 15 metres) and it took me 2 years of infrequent practice to get to this level (I did play a lot of tennis at that time so my eye hand coordination was up to speed). So I can see how the ancients could largely survive off doing it (I say largely because I do know of traditional aboriginal aussies who died young in this lifestyle and became friends with a man that just made it by coming into modern civilisation). I will give more tutorials if that will help, but for now practice throwing a ball and your Stinger at a moving targets that aren't too far away, as well as still targets (I just roll a ball away to hit it myself about as big as a basket ball for the moving target). You'll see most improvement in the first 2 weeks - the rest is fine turning, have fun🤠

When you throw these, how do you manage the height? Is it basically you release at the same height of the target, and it glides flat? Cuz I’ve seen those longer throws often lift up when they get far.

@wozzasboomerang Год назад
It is a good stick for sure. It's quite light but goes so far and straight. Not the best for rabbits but would be great on kangaroos (which is what the original design was for most likely) and other large game.

At 30 feet it's simpler to just throw rocks. They're much less expensive and if you break one there's plenty of cheap replacements.

Hmmm. I spent a year on the Nullarbor Plain when I was 19. We used to run and catch rabbits which we called 'bunny hopping'. Followed by BBQ and beer. It wasn't just speed - there was some specific technique as well. I'm 68 now and might be able to catch a 68 year old rabbit with a tail wind behind me. Would I eat it? Love your enthusiasm and videos.
