Verses and solos in order: Joe Ely, Jeff Bridges, Sheryl Crow (harmonica then vocals), David Grissom (blue denim shirt, great guitar solo), Bonnie Raitt (steel guitar, also great), Jimmie Vaughan (white guitar, brother of Stevie Ray), Doyle Bramhall II (worn guitar, white guy with afro), Gary Clark Jr (bearded Black guy), Lloyd Maines on pedal steel (also father of Natalie Maines of The Chicks), Joe Ely again, Robert Earl Keene (white hat), then there’s a moment with backup singers Sheryl Crow & Brittney Howard (of Alabama Shakes), also the plaid shirt guitarist on the far right is Rich Brotherton (used to play guitar for Robert Earl Keen’s band). My further research provides likely possibilities below as all were in attendance at that anniversary show. Guy in far back with glasses (on the right side) playing a white guitar is Glenn Fukunaga. The drummer is Tom Van Schaik who played for the Dixie Chicks and more recently with Robert Earl Keen. There’s also a pianist on the right side I can only catch a couple of glimpses of. That’s Riley Osbourn . Most of the brass quartet are likely from Grupo Fantasma. The marimba player is John Speice IV from Grupo Fantasma. Possibly sax is Doug James. But most likely Joshua Levy of Grupo Fantasma. Possibly the trombonist is Mike Rinta. Or Leo Gauna of the Hubtones and Grupo Fantasma. But most likely Mark ‘Speedy’ Gonzalez of Grupo Fantasma. The heavy trumpet player is Gilbert Elorreaga of Grupo Fantasma. The Black trumpet player on the far left might be Ephraim Owens. That's the only one on stage that's hard to get a clear view of his face.

Ya, but who on earth would even give a rat's ass about any "greatest" list that that idiotic poser magazine compiled about anything? Their list of "100 best Rock Albums" is so idiotic as to be laughingstock material. The last people who have any right, let alone authority, to concoct these 'lists' are the dumbass "critics" who have made a living off of their 'personal' tastes. I could give a shit what some pretentious twit sitting behind a typewriter who schmoozes up to "Rock Stars" thinks. There. I said it.

Remembering the time I went to see these guys in Santa Cruz, CA at Moe's Alley. It was a stormy, rainy night. Just when everything was getting steamed up the power went out. Mobile band members jumped down on the dance floor and played there without amplifiers. It was fun, intimate and we kept dancing and they got us singing! It was no less than a fabulous show! Having worked on a radio crew for years at High Sierra Music, the Subdudes was an absolute favorite headliner! I grew to respect these guys and their musicianship. They're tight! They know how to put on a great show! I love these gentlemen. Crazy about this band, The Subdudes are on my favorite bands list!

What a lineup! Seeing Jeff Bridges playing the hollow-body Gretsch makes one green with envy.

I don't really know why, but I've got a thing for Sheryl Crow. She sings beautifully, plays the guitar with passion, and can play the squeeze box. She's beautiful too. The reason doesn't really matter. She's great.

I've always told my wife that we're forever EXCEPT if Sheryl Crow calls!

@@countrypeaboy You're a brave man. I told my wife that if Emmylou Harris came calling, she might have to share. That was 38 years ago and we're still married. 😅

I almost feel bad... Sheryl Crow is just so...vanilla...mediocre...and irrelevant with Bonnie Raitt on stage.

@@ShaneKennedy1969 Exactly. Bonnie Raitt live (saw her many times) was amazing (with John Prine) and solo.

A lot of great talent, but it brought tears to my eyes. Song came out in '57, loved it then, and a year later I got married for 62 years, and it never faded away and now 3 years later it still hasn't faded way.

I love the way they all look so pleased that they all finished together....that's no mean feat when you have a stageful.

If SRV had been alive i'm sure he would have been here since his 2 show's @ Austin City Limits were the most watched EVER.

That sounds right but i'd like to get ACL to verify this. I'd heard for years it was Leonard Cohen or a bizarre taping of Tom Waits from waaaaaay back in the day. But no surprise if its SRV.

I stood 10ft away from Bonnie Raitt in the front row about 20 years ago on a New Orleans Riverboat during the Jazz Festival while she played with The Thunderbirds from Austin... Made eye contact and got a smile... I wonder if she thinks about me as often as I think about her...? 😁
