I'm a real estate licensee. This is a joke! Every first time home buyer qualifies for low interest loans. Homes are made of decomposing wood. This is why old homes smell musky, its the wood decomposing. This is why new homes have a fresh wood smell. Decomposing wood also grows mold. So no home is made to last. They all depreciate in value. What banks do is add the interest of loans to the price of home instead of appraising them. And most lumber mills own their own land with timber. So the cost of timber really dosen't go up, because tree farms are tax exempt. So imagine 10,000 acres tax exempt for a tree farm. Yep, all a big joke. Then 80% of homes foundations are not up to code and anchored to the foundation. Also remember your car can be towed if parked in the street, but not on private land. So you need a driveway. All homes don't have driveways.
