One police officer is dead and another is injured after a shooting in South Austin early Saturday morning. Two civilians are also dead, as is the suspect.

I feel so sorry for these officers and their families. May the fallen officer rest in peace. Our police officers go to work never knowing what they will have to face. Police see things that would absolutely terrify civilians. I'm glad that the police are now wearing bodycams and releasing the footage, because I think that most people, especially liberals, have no idea of the danger and difficulty that police deal with. The actuality is that there are many violent criminals who have no respect for others or our laws or the people who enforce those laws. And especially in our liberal cities, such as Austin, the DA's do not prosecute what should be prosecuted, and the judges hand out slap on the wrist sentences which encourage criminals to go right on committing crimes.

Yep, cops waited outside for an hour and 27 minutes while two citizens bled to death from stab wounds. Proved officer safety means more than citizen safety every single time. Didn't learn anything from Uvalde I guess.

Clear, there is upset here. It seems, the attacker and those who dislike the police, might not realize that, that these types of crimes, take the lives of their coworkers/friends and someone else’s family member. Society needs to make some changes, so it is more understanding/compassionate and less hard/harsh/strict upon certain violations. Violence can not be tolerated/tolerable or even an option of response when interacting with innocent people. Individuals need to know how to communicate and handle themselves and each other. 👌

It always catches my attention when the police chief seems overcome but I’ve actually seen a similar reaction to hers many, many, many times. America is an incredibly violent place with violent ppl.
