I guess 90% of the crowd is white. Only white people cheer and vote for other white people according to the washed up garbage NBA player nobody remembers. Best part is nobody knows Perkins for anything but being an idiot on ESPN.
Austin Reaves is unbelievable!! I love this guy! They CANNOT let this guy go, the way they did with Alex Caruso. If I owned an NBA team, this guy would be in my starting five! Very good passer, shooter, and most of all, a TEAM PLAYER!
he definitely aint starting. hes gonna enough to be a starter but u a team cant have a team starting lineup of good players, he and schroder needs to lead the bench. if every good player is a starter manu shouldve been one
Can’t help but notice his teammates were like nonchalant wit limited dap, considering dude won the damn game. And the ‘shocked LBJ’ reference ain’t nothin but click bait.
I thought that I was the only one that noticed that . if it where really about winning they would have been super happy for him . something so subtle tells me everything I need to know about the fate and state of this team smh
@@lagosfury5142 Thas cool. But this ain’t practice, it’s public. They should dap dude up when he deserve it. Character & morale is key in this game too. Right now they struttin elite attitude.
I’m blown away by how many touch shots he has, these rolls! I hope they keep rattling home for him! Love that he has legitimate take over ability, and it’s extra potent bc he’s an outstanding passer when they try to double or close in
He is quickly becoming one of my favorite players on the Lakers. He plays with a lot of heart!! He also seems to have a positive effect on a sometimes erratic offense.
Reeves is truly one of the best players on the Lakers and watch the Lakers going to something stupid as always and trade the players that actually work hard
@@lakersrdbest For real man man meanwhile they let Lebron and AD sit on the bench every season but they stay hurt and keep them two because they are superstars
@@challenger516 since the trade deadline the lakers have been cold and went from 11th seed to 7th seed lmao. they also won the play-in. this argument don’t rlly work
AR + Fundamentals > Pure talent. I’ve said for ages that the NBA is more talent now than at ANY point in NBA history…but at the expense of *basketball fundamentals.* Guys don’t even know how to box-out properly! AR understands footwork fundamentals and he’s maxing his game.
You should listen to Rick Barry comment about today's NBA players. What he says is spot on. He said athletically they are phenomenal but they lack fundamentals and the rules have changed so much that it's not basketball anymore. I don't know how to send links so I guess type Rick Barry comments on young players. After reading your comment I think it's something you would be interested in.
Bro, re-read what you posted. "NBA has more TALENT than any point in NBA history" Fundamentals + insane athletism. It's not easy to just box out like 20/30 years ago. Guys are stronger, faster, and uber quick now. Box him out, the guy just slips around you. You can't GRAB, TUG, and CLUTCH like the 90s or 2000s anymore.
aint it crazy how the fans, the players and even the commentators can tell pretty much 90% of the time when a player is drawing a foul. But the Refs cant just be like " yeah you are drawing a foul"
Austin Reeves has always been the Lakers hardest worker. Lebron never let's him shine when he's on the floor. As soon as Reeves gets the ball, Lebron wants it back.
REEVES strength is his underestimation by opponents everyone is focused on AD and LBJ he slips under the radar he has also come up with many big shots for the Lakers this season
I don’t think he put him anywhere close to AD or Lebron. Quite the opposite. He said the teams are all focused on stopping AD and Lebron so Reeves can thrive as a non focal point of the defense. There was no comparisom.
I Keep Saying Austin is a Modern Day Pistol Peete..This Guy Has Something Special he Reads The Floor and Can Control a Game With his Up and Down Pace..Very Hi Basketball IQ
Reeves is nasty and has insane potential. Could never & Would never compare him to anyone else. Although I feel as if this kid can build his own legacy as long as he is given the opportunity.
@@aaronvincentlee3490 I was saying he's over hyped just like Tobias Harris was when he was on the Clippers. Guess what he's a bum today. Austin is a good role player no more.
He is very accurate, at hitting buckets with intense defense on him. He finds his wiggle room somehow 🔥. Also at 2:16, how is that a foul, it seemed like clean defense too me. You can't help if someone bumps into you 😭
That's how it is. The refs called it an offensive foul early last season when the offensive player intentionally lean their body onto the defender in a non-basketball move like that. But now the refs pretend to get amnesia lol
@@afaris88 thanks for breaking this down for me. They need too change this back too a foul. U should be awarded for good defense. That man didn't even touch him 😩🔥
@@justiceanderson641 Couldn't agree more. I like watching AR-15, but I hate that kind of foul-call because that's one of the reasons the NBA getting softer and softer. They discourage players to play good defense.
He doesnt look atheletic coz hes white. Thats what hes actually saying. Theres plenty of atheletic white players in the NBA including the one that just won the dunk contest. Besides in todays NBA atheleticism alone cant guarantee success. Look at Luka, Jokic. Very skilled in every aspect of the game. But being atheletic does help a lot on the defensive end.
Really? We're really here comparing a player with 11.2 season average and a career 9.1 average to Stockton? How about we just crown him the goat right now?
I guess Lane violation’s don’t get called anymore. The free throw shooter can’t go over the line until the ball goes in or hits the rim. The refs call what they want these days I guess 🤔
@@marlonallansupetran7120 in the 80s n 90s the free throw would have to be re shot even if it went in. I guess the commission changed it in rule book. The NBA has really changed
Reeves clearly pattern his game after Kobe. Kudos! Kobe did it to Jordan and look where it got him. You can't expect too much from Reeves yet, but it is good to see. This is only his second year, and with limited opportunities. Can you imagine if they were trying to motivate him like a Ja Morant or those other young stars? Most players get the 2nd year slump, but not Reeves. He didn't get discouraged when LBJ tried to control him. He is just waiting...and now here he is again.
What they supposed to do brub ain't like he don't pass them the ball to shoot defense focuses on him their missed shots n inconsistency ain't because of him
This game just proves the fact that Beasley is trash. He can't do none of the things Reeves does and the one thing that he's suppose to do which is knock down 3s and he can't even do it right. He's got one job. I don't know wtf coach Hamburger is doing, he should just start Reeves or put Lonnie Walker back in the Rotation.
If i am the GM, I will let Beasley and Dlo walk in the summer. Sign reeves, hachimura and schroder for 20m 2 years then focus on getting another superstar.
@@markfish1113 Dlo is actually pretty good, but not consistent, should keep him though since they don't have no one else really. Unless they can get Kyrie.
@@jpsnsn7548 Dlo is trash, could only score against bottom teams. I will give him mid-exception or let him walk. You will see it soon he is not worth 31m. The problem is Lakers fans want to give him max contract after seeing him hit a 30 point game which is rare. Reeves, Schroder and Hachimura are outplaying him.
So this is the modern and stronger NBA? A small kid (plumber like some ignorants like to describe it ) destroying everybody and yet young guys doubt about the 90s…
Lol tf you on about I watched in the 90s and they was most definitely not the athletes we have in today's game and they was most definitely cooked out drunks ask jordan he said it himself
