Here it is. Another detailed assembly of the Input housing on a GM4L60e. This will apply to a 700R4 also. I show you how to measure your clutch clearances along with some other tips...

I love how you detailed your video so a 66 year old nube can learn. Lol..! I was wondering if you could give me the part numbers of what you used to do Austin's build. I think that was his name! I'm currently working on a 4L65 out a 05 or 06 Escalade. It has the 5 planet gears and from the way it looks it doesn't have that much wear if any. It will be going behind a 450 hp LQ9 6 liter. It was a 4 wheel drive transmission and l do have the correct rear housing and output shaft. Sorry about the long read but anything you could give me would be greatly appreciated. That came from a place called TransTool. I've had it forever, don't know if the place is still in business. I can get the GM version part number for you.

Well....I can get those on..but that tool is a good short cut...I could have Henry make me one ...on his lathe. At my dad's machine shop...I've not taken measurements yet....but I do get mine installed...? It's not a urgent need at all....but it's a nice tool...after I finish and complete my two years 95 and 05 Years of my ownership my builds probably stop

Question! I've been fighting my trans alot. When I assemble my input drum all my clearances are on the tighter end of the specs. When I air check through the input shaft the 3 4 hole applies the 3 4 clutch but it also moves the forward clutch. The forward clutch applies and holds when air checking. I've replaced the input drum all the molded pistons. The green orange I've replaced twice lol. Any help you can offer would be awesome!

As long as when you apply the forward clutch, it DOES NOT apply the 3-4, then you're good. If its a little on the tight side, you're also okay, as long as it's not tighter than spec.

50 to 70 too much clearance for me

Me too! But that's what Raybestos calls for in the Z- Pack. If I was using regular clutches, I would have tightened it up.
