@@cassmoore4719Years ago I was lucky to be staying on the mountain and had a chance to be one of the first people on the Kosi lift. The run was AMAZING in the morning - newly groomed before it got tracked out.
Hi i just wanna say thank you so much for making and posting this video on youtube. i learned how to ski just by wathing this single video only. OMG just like abracadabra i can directly get the idea how to turn
When the snow cover is top to bottom this is the best run in Australia for carving your turns. About a 4.2km (2.6 mile) groomed run with 600m (2,000ft) of vertical from Eagle's Nest to the village. Early morning is almost always best as (except on very cold days) it tends to soften at lot at the mid-lower elevations during the afternoon. The longer run from the top of Karels is a bit troublesome as it requires you to catch 2 additional T-bars after you reach the top of the high speed quad-chair at Eagle's nest for only an extra 100m (300ft) of vertical.
Lovely!! Just came back from France and this particular slope reminded me a lot of a slope in Pre La Joux.. ahhh I miss it already. Thanks for sharing this video bro
Not the longest run at Thredbo. You need to start from the top of Karels (another T Bar) and ski down to where this video starts which was from the top of Crackenback chair.
I want to do that right now!!! Darn it all to heck!! I live at a ski resort in Idaho, USA where it's to hot tto ski right now. Living thru that video dude.
@atque scientia europa universalis Remember that in the southern hemisphere, south facing slopes are angled away from the sun and hold snow longer (preferable for ski runs). You are looking across the valley at north facing slopes which face the sun and melt off quickly. The ranges on the opposite side of the Thredbo Valley are as high as 1900 metres but still have trouble holding snow due to north facing aspect.
yeah that's a tuck the stocks under armpits and aim the tips of the skis at the bottom slope.....not sure how the cameraman didn't overtake though, he must have been dragging sandbags....Jono was taking way too may turns
