Man, I was a Eshay 30 + years ago, before we had the term Eshay. Not the biggest one in my circle, that went to my best mate Ty, but pretty Esh, and hella Ay... ....I understand fashions change... but weed funded bumbag life has some rules yo. You cant rock solid brand all over, unless it is a tracksuit. If you have a brand A, as a shirt, say... FuBu... you gotta have like a Quicksilver jacket, and Nike shorts. If you are wearing Addias trackies, you gotta rock say a Fila shirt, stuff like that. Gotta show you know cool, with many sick brands. But you cant over cool. either. So if you are wearing subtle, save for your duds or your jacket, maybe hat or shades, that is sick, you can rock the full beano kicks, yeah? Like if you have like Nike trackies, but a shirt or tank, and jacket that is not obvs big brand, with say Starter cap or Oakley shades. so just some little hint Eshayness in the brandage, then you can have some seriously loud sneakers. But if you are rocking solid, like 'nah, I dont need nothing but all pure Reebok head to toe to be cool'... then you have to go hard full Esh, has to be the full tracksuit, have the matching beanie too, but not the shoes, you gotto go say something like Masseurs with just pure plain white socks in that scenario. None of these rules apply to chains.. but there SHOULD be chains... OR the actual Bum Bag, in fact, the more.... distressed.... rustic.... your bum bag, the more seriously Esh your seen as! Eshay literally means 'YES' in pig latin and Original Sydney Searcher Culture from the late 80s-Early 90s. Noone from the culture ever called themselves eshays or anything but searchers, earchers, crims, earners or the like. And Lad, or Adlay in pig latin was always just a Sydney term for younger crims etc. But what defines a searcher??
