@@ScumLxrd1993 that only shows how many followers this world has for fear of being judged or looking different. Waiting on someone to tell you what to do with something personal is wild! Although we do inspire and influence each other. Nun of these RU-vidr fashion people should have that much power over anyone.
Yeah, now is anything and everything. All the styles are in. Flares, bootcut, baggy, relaxed…. And if you wana crush your nuts, you can still rock the skinnies. Lol
Imo, shoes for occasions is a good way to think of it. I personally would like to find a do it all boot, I was pretty close with some danner lights but they could never pass for formal footwear.
I love the logic of the first section. “I don’t like branded clothing (read: Maximalist aesthetics),” due to it being “show of” “all about the price and people showing off” etc. So that’s why I buy terribly Asian produced fast fashion clothing from Uniqlo to copy what I think the very rich would wear. See how genius this is, I can exhibit an “old money” aesthetic by buying terrible quality plastic stuff from fast fashion brands - and still make it look like something from the row. Thus, the “old money” uniform, as it ends up being is just another logo itself, and your justification for it, “the old money vibe”, in other words “looking rich,” is the same justification you claim is behind maximalist aesthetics, but here it’s somehow wrong? I don’t get it.
Exactly this. Glad I’m not the only you that thought this. It’s the lack of self awareness with some of these people. Could’ve chose thrifted or old closet pieces instead of new fast fashion one. It’s also the “I’m above logomania in favor of something more minimalist” slightly arrogant attitude people now have when it’s not a personal revelation….you’re just following the current recession trend. This happened back in 2009 but I guess people have already forgotten
best time to wear something and look different from the herd is to wear something that's out of style or out of fashion, such as skinny jeans. Don't follow what's in or what's hot now, cause then most of the time you'll end up looking like everyone else.
@@phil2dor Nope, skinny jeans looked terrible throughout the 2010s. I was very glad when they finally died. Genuinely do not understand how men wore such uncomfortable clothes!
@@JayPhelps-vt5qy I agree they did look bad. Extremes like ultra baggy also look bad my point was that trends come and go and baggy will go out and skinny will crawl back into style it’s best to avoid extreme fads.
@@phil2dor You've got to love those classic fits! It's so sad to know that the future fashion victims of the 2030s will be peeling themselves out of ultra skinny jeans while they're bouncing around on the moon or whatevs
I recently purchased some NB1906Rs & Nike Vomero 5s. I love the comfort and the they’re both in white/sail colorways. So easy to wear. I’ve dialed it back on Jordan’s & forces
im honestly getting tired of the mesh football jerseys and even soccer jerseys lol was going to try and cop some but everyonneeeee rocks it now. feel it is way oversaturated. everyone has the mesh stussy football jersey now a days
I barely go shopping for clothes but when i do i maybe find 3 items per like 10 stores i go into, and those items usually mesh really well with what i already have. so id say "only buy what obviously stands out to you and you only" because ultimately confidence is key, and if you really like what you wear it will show
carhartt wrangler and levis are my staples. The style will never die. I use them for both work and casual wear. Wrangler 13mwz, double knees, 501's. Trucker jacket, cowbot cut jacket and a detroit jacket. Almost immortal. I've always wore simple colors tees like white black blue moss green and brown. Easy to pick an outfit and they last forever and fade amazingly. I have a carhartt jacket thats 11 years old ppl always thought I thrifted it.
I'd recommend you remove the 'What to wear' phrase in your video titles. Because these 'holier than thou' freaks always spawn to these videos of yours/others. Honestly, for me, trends are an inspiration and introduction to new things. I grab whatever I like from them to elevate my style. Nothing wrong with wanting to look presentable and good for others. 'Wear what you want to' they say but hate on all these present fashion trends. Hypocritical much? And they literally clicked on this video, what were they expecting? Hate watching isn't a cute look...
Nah, look at gorpcore in Asia, it's much more versatile, it's just people were trying to flex their arctyrex jacket, as they should cuz that shit is expensive, but useful.
Nobody can tell me what to wear, if like something I'm going to buy if it's in fashion or not. It's crazy how people are sheep's and will wear something just to seem cool to people that don't really care about you
This guy has a whole video about being a follower. He literally has no style of his own. Just following trends, which everyone basically does. He looks like everybody else. 🤦🏾♂️
Damn near everything he showed in the video was whack af ….plain hoody and $10 sweatpants you can get at Walmart is better than whatever the garbage he showed for 6x the price
Apart from the reasons you describe, sneakers are down-trending for me because "the game" has become very toxic. Brands are building insane hype for sneakers that almost nobody can buy at retail because of bots, backdooring, or whatever. That causes a lot of anxiety and frustration, and people, myself included, are tired of that. It's also very uncool at the moment.
Maybe "new trends" aren't meant to erase the old ones. But everyone treats new trends like something they HAVE TO start copying. And it's all becoming so blatant, and cringe now.
There isn't a clothing style you can't use nowadays, people are seriously paying $1000 for rolls of tape on their wrist or trash bags. you can wear literally whatever makes you feel nice wether it's for comfort, colour, look or how trendy it is, no one on the street will come up to you and say you look bad especially when the guy next to you looks like a scarecrow.
LV sneakers always have resale value and they never discount thier shoes . Balenciaga sneakers are trendy and cheaply made. Balenciaga's are made in China and not handmade in Italy. So that's why they are always on sale
Trend is timeless which means wear clothes that youre comfortable with and try exploring clothing from different cultures and mix it with your own. That's how we create our own. Be inspired and be an inspiration
I don't follow trends now rite now I'm looking to save for a Saint Laurent or Celine biker jacket and 2 pairs of Wyatt boots. Rite now I'm pretty much done with sneakers more into boots and shoes. Every other week I was buying a pair of Jordans now I have no space and I just been buying the same sneakers in different colors and I don't have time to wear them and sneakers will fall apart from not wearing them boots I don't have to worry about. I mostly have Nike ACG Gore Tex jackets and a few Ralph Lauren black label and leather jackets.
In my opinion the sneaker market started failing when StockX came along and deemed themselves the stock market for sneakers and then completely manipulated the market. Both consumers and resellers unwittingly went along with this, not realizing the autonomy they were surrendering. At first it seemed demand was driving the resale markets cost, as it should but around February of 2020 when the pandemic hit they began artificially increasing prices drastically for whatever reason
If you are from balkan like me you would never wear 90% of clothes/sneakers shown in this video . Best is phillip plein, d squared, boss, armani and other well known good brands
I got called out by a bunch of people for wearing a flannel in the city. Half of me wants to learn how to be fashionable and the other half wants to double down and keep wearing that flannel because I think it looks cool
Like for thhe price increase all jordans need air zoom inside for foot comfort especially the old models! cuz some of those models feel like walking on a gravel driveway (iykyk) no padding at all on the heel. As much as i love 1s they got no comfort for the bottom of your feet!
First, i want an mmorpg. Not a normal mmorpg, an classic mmorpg. Or mmorpg with old graphics like adventure quest 3d without auto gameplay. Without playwall. Without pay to win. Third person back. Yeah, i want something like that. For example
I hate that I fell for the reprinted rap tees or big face tees trend, I have so many sitting in my closet. Minimal, fit and proportions is definitely the way to go, looks 10x better.
All modern designer sneakers have an expiration date. Most designer sneakers are only cool for a year or two. That's why the only designer sneakers I own are Gucci 1984 in the OG white and green and Prada America Cups because those are the only two designer sneakers with a real deep history in the culture. I had a bunch of other modern designer sneakers but sold them because either the quality was atrocious (i.e. Versace) or the company did something I didn't agree with (i.e. Balenciaga). And Jordans will never go out of style. Fake sneakerheads and corny normies from the suburbs who follow trends can't dilute the real timeless legacy of 80's and 90's urban style and culture that they never even lived through firsthand.
none of this stuff is going away lol. Its hilarious to hear you say we are moving away from unbranded items like we did in the late 2000s. Unbranded clothing is boring honestly. Fashion is all about details
