It is beautiful. It shows the beaten track to "who she is", and Namatjira's dares us to look further than the surface layer. It must stay where it is, and not become yet another victim to money, power, and corrupted allegiances.

Why anyone would even remotely have the persuasion to look at her, real, picture or otherwise, is totally beyond me, let alone having to buy a ticket into some gallery. The profits of Australia's natural resources should have gone, and should still be going, into a fund benefiting all Australians following Norway's example (Google Government Pension Fund of Norway), and not benefiting a few highly corrupted self-obsessed greedy nasty families.

looking at the whole body of work I would not say it an exceptionally unflattering portrait, each one is characteristically flawed and simple, be it down the the artists skills or the subject itself. For one of the richest people in the country/world to be concerned with this representation is just a sign of those flaws and insecurities. It is just an image of a person made by another person, it does not define who you are, but here we are anyways.

Display them in every art gallery in Australia, very true likeness
