Yeah looks like plenty of League and Rugga boys who should have a default skillset to play NFL. Interesting to me how many of them tackle low by default and how prepared they are to keep the legs pumping under contact - very League and Rugby traits.

They aren’t going to give the chiefs a moment of pause, or the crimson tide, but I like seeing the effort. Yanks can embrace rugby, and Aussies can embrace gridiron.

adam gotsis has been doing coaching clinics for a few years now and now that we have more n more Aussies in the NFL they see that their is an opportunity to go n play wat Aussie kid doesn't want to play a new sport

Most states play Oct - Feb, yes in Summer. Most clubs have a U20, women's and seniors teams.

Australian here. Neither did I. Haven't heard of even a local league here. So definitely a nice suprise to see us represented here.

@EmmeKah23 it is played in every state, and has the highest attendance per capita of any domestic sports league in the world. Rugby has 290,000 members in Aus, AFL has 1,200,000. 1 in every 25 Australians is a member of an AFL club. SYDNEY has the biggest membership, then Perth, Collingwood, Brisbane is 4th, then Adelaide at 5. You might need to get some advice.

Not sure of the exact number of teams but 30-40 clubs nationally would be a conservative guess. Gridiron Australia website would give you a more concise figures. Many of those clubs have 3 teams U20, womens & seniors. They play under IFAF rules which closely follows NCAA ruleset with a few differences.

@@tonypegler9080 Thanks. I had a look at the website and it seems there are 47 clubs around Australia. It was great to see the RU-vid video and that they had an avenue to represent their country in competition. Well done all!

Because it's a boring game to watch... And it was being held in Edmonton, Canada... Not many Aussies or Panamanians(other than family members) anywhere nearby. It's like a cricket match between the Netherlands & Zimbabwe being played in Invercargill NZ.

That half of the stadium seating was not open. The fans were sitting on the same side as the camera. The Brazil team was there watching the first half of the game too. I was there with my daughters.

It's a weird choice to post the Aussies "..seriously suck at this" after watching a 21 nil shutout of another team.

Brother I agree, as an Aussie we aren't utilising our local sports skills and relying too much on the American playstyle of the game.

The best teams in the world aren't exposed to Aussie sports through childhood and the reason why that's important is because of how incredibly dynamic the skillsets are in these Australian sports that get ingrained in Aussie kids for years. The past few years Aussies have been succeeding as kickers in the NFL and that's after they're well into their late 20's or early 30's because of how Australia has never really been interested in the sport and young kids aren't dreaming of the NFL until after their prime years. My point is when I watched the commentators react to our Aussie lads do the most basic feint kick, sidestep then kick or the divetackle around the legs, I noticed that the comments on social media were also astounded by a basic AFL or NRL skill move that any schoolboy could do. That's when I realised how much more advanced our tactics and movements were if introduced into the NFL. Now I'm not saying it's an easy task and Australia will beat KC Chiefs lmfao, I'm explaining how the NFL is in for a shock if the right Aussie coach were to ever use the Aussies correctly. Really sorry for the long post, please read it to understand my reasons.

@@CHIM3RA. at what level did you coach or play NFL? I think any sport you play you need generations of passionate people who dedicate themselves to playing and developing to be the very best. Until we can get a bigger pool of talent to focus only on playing NFL could we compete against their best. We have to live and breath it from birth like they do.

Watching my uncle and cousins play horse shoes is so much more entertaining
