Never seen any of your videos before. Looking at your face in this video, the medium-tan side looks markedly better than the non-tinted side, which looks washed out. I know that generally speaking Asians (I am Chinese myself) sometimes pride themselves on having paler skin which may affect how we perceive the colour we choose to think matches our skin. The medium-tan makes you look healthy and natural and also thins out the sides of your face. Maybe it's different in real life but in the video this is how it shows up.
Glad I watched your review. I tried AG for the first time and medium to tan is slightly darker than my skin. It looks like I applied bronzer to my whole face. But it's better than getting a horrible purple-ish white cast. I love the matte finish.
Glad I found this. I only noticed a subtle difference. I love the BB cream colour. Great for the beach. I'm in Australia so hopefully will have no trouble finding it
My skin tone is a little darker to you and i use the medium/tan. Its almost a perfect match for me. Im warm toned and the BB is cool toned so there is a minor color difference and makes the white cast a little more noticeable. The medium/tan adds a nice tan glow on you. I normally use the bb cream alone bc i barely wear foundation. Ive been debating on whether i should mix the medium/tan with rich/deep.
FYI I tried both the original and fair and they are almost identical, the fair bb sunscreen maybe a tiny bit more hydrating but nonetheless still matte.
great review! i havent come across this sunscreen. I think its a very good idea for the sunscreen to be tinted, but the brand shoud come up with so many different shade like foundation. I think it will take some time for it and we will enjoy a variety of sunscreens like that.

I’m sorry friend. This one was a while back. I don’t recall which foundation I used here. I will say, right now, I’m using The Ordinary foundation. I have both the Serum Foundation and the Coverage Foundation.
I’m so disappointed the color didn’t suit you! Now I hope I pick the right one. I’m on the hunt for tomorrow but still deciding between light or medium cause I’m in between but I don’t mind looking tanner than I really am
On camera, the bb cream looks like the right color for you. I guess I assumed that people wanting to use something like this they wouldn't be using foundation on top.
I have the same problem with tinted sunscreen...I'm also a Ledium lol. I use the light Australian Gold one mixed with elta MD elements which is a tad darker.
I know everyone swears by the Elta MD one. I just haven’t bought it because it’s a little pricey. Do you think it’s worth it? Thanks for watching btw. I appreciate you.
@@madeupwithme yes I think it's worth it BC it adds that extra oomph to darken the fair Australian gold and also adds a bit of hydration as the AG is a little drying for me. The eltamd should last a bit longer than if I was using it as my only sunscreen bc I do a 1:2 ratio of eltamd to Australian gold.
Hi there. I don’t know what color I am in MAC, but I did look up NC35. I believe that the medium to tan is too deep for you. The lighter one is probably going to be a better fit. I have been mixing the two for a better shade match. The difference in the two is pretty steep, but I always feel like you can bronze things up. Thanks for watching!!
Hello there! Thanks for this comparison video. It's helpful. I've used other tinted sunscreen but only had this Australian Gold two days ago. I love the feel of it, and it NEVER pills. But I do feel a little stingy on my face. I have not read comments regarding, so can you please answer me on this issue? The sting is not terribly bad, I didn't break out or had rashes on my face, just that stingy sensation. Please, any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Hi there. I actually haven’t heard of that before. It really shouldn’t sting. It sounds like your skin is irritated. I would cool it on the AG for now. After some time, try it again. If it’s the same sensation, I would stop using it. I’m sorry about this 😢 Is there any other products in your routine that might be new as well? I hope it will end up working out for you. I just bought that BB cream in medium tan. I didn’t know that they had a sunscreen with a tint (all I had seen a “light color” which I think it’ll be too light). Yes, that medium tan is quite dark and orangey. What are you using for the neck so the color doesn’t transfer onto your clothes?
Yes. It’s pretty deep for me. I’ve been mixing the BB cream and the OG tinted one, and that’s been working well. The clothes issue... During winter, I wore a lot of turtle necks 🐢. I wear mostly v-neck cut tops, now that it is warming up in my area. When I am in a t-shirt or in a collar that is close to the neck, I wear Shiseido clear stick SPF 50. I’ve also been known to live on the edge and just let it mess up my shirt. LOL! 😂 But normally, the clear stick 😊 Thanks for watching friend!

If my complexion is light-medium and I could only get one, should I try fair-light or medium-tan? I don't want my skin tone to appear deeper nor extremely lighter. I heard the shade fair-light is as close to the original one they've used to carry.
Neither of them are a true match for me. I have been mixing the original tinted (75%) with the medium BB Cream (25%). It’s been the perfect concoction. 😊 If I had to choose, I would go for the lighter one because I can always use bronzer to help with the complexion, but if I go too deep, there’s not really much I can do. Hope this helps 😃
Do you ever use any face oils or anything on top of this? I'm looking for a new daily sunscreen, but I'm worried it will pill up if I mix my foundation with a beauty oil.
I don’t really use oils. On the few occasions I have, it’s normally under my sunscreen and that hasn’t been a problem. I can say that I have used many foundations with this sunscreen, oil-based, and I haven’t had an issue with this pulling or pilling. I’m sorry I couldn’t be much more help. Thanks for watching. I just reordered my fair shade and decided to get the medium to tan for the summer and I decided to try it today and it PILLED so bad! But for some reason the fair shade one doesn’t do that. Any idea why that happens?
Hi there. I haven’t had that experience with the BB cream pilling. I just wore it yesterday. The only thing I can think of is that it didn’t play well with another product, if you were in fact, wearing any. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

I don’t know in MAC. For high-end, I’ve been using Tarte Foundcealer in 27S, which used to be a perfect match. Lately, it is too deep for me. I never really can get a perfect match. I just started mixing these two sunscreens and it’s definitely much better for me. Thanks for watching! 😀
Do you find that the new BB cream version is more or less oily? I have oily skin and I am trying to decide between the original and the bb cream version... I am also gonna be fair-light so the color doesn't seem to be as much of a consideration.
