I would build a Dandenong to Orbost railway with both the line to Old Sale (for the Bairnsdale Pass) and the Maffra line for the freight. Some great trestles through that section. Plus the electric line to Traralgon.

My choice recreation would be a complete City Circle layout using Bergs Tuscan and Bluebell sets, including live Marklin Catenary, which actually arcs when it gets grubby.

@@brownie8235 ah nice thanks for that! I absolutely would be open to that suggestion! I mean I’ve been trying to get out to visit other peoples layouts but with the ‘ restrictions’ lately that’s been a bit Hard! But yes some viewer updates would be great!

Very comprehensive, well done. Just a slight correction to the AMRA WA (my local club) open days. There are actually two; the first was scheduled for the 4th of July but was canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. It is now rescheduled to the 15th of August. The second one as scheduled for December 5th and so far has not needed to be rescheduled yet (fingers crossed 🤞🏻). Thank you for your updates and keeping it nationally related.

Awesome video as always mate thanks. I've ordered 2 traino anr 930s, vr d3 vr just class, wants as all of us have lol a derm n trailer vr k class and I hope 2 900s depends on the budget hey . Lol cheers on the mtr mention you made me have a look and place an order. Keep up the good work mate. Will post a layout video this weekend hopefully too still early days just track n few structures but you'll get the idea.

A dream model railway of mine would be of Adelaide Railway Station in the 1980/90s. There would be a real mix of Red Hens, Jumbos and 3000 class railcars on it for sure.

Brilliant video Will I'm excited for the Ixion J class as i have always been a big fan of the J class. The tooling for the Phoenix Reproductions D3 looks pretty good I will see if i can get my hands on one of those. I will also be attending the train show in Oakleigh. As for your question of a dream layout I would love to model the Melbourne to sea lake line the reason for chosing that line is because i love the country side along the line.- Nicholas.

Very interesting. I like the Aussie Alcos (I want a blue/yellow one) - it would be quite interesting to see these models with their American cousins on the same layout. I’m sure it exists somewhere...

Thank you Jeffery! The Victorian Railways ones, which look a similar scheme as the Erie Railroad? It's what I mainly model. It sure does, we have general running session at our club where there's no real theme so you end up with the US stuff next to the AU locos and the loading gauge is considerably different. @@WillJamesRailways the Virginian Railway, specifically their electrics, had a very similar blue and yellow scheme with wings, in addition to the Erie. I always wondered if there was some common relationship between those two US roads, and Victorian Railways. We may never know...

@@JeffreyOrnstein yes I believe they did! Now I’m probably going to get something wrong but Harold Clapp worked in the US before coming home to Victoria and was put in charge of the VR and yes just used a very very similar livery to the Erie

Hi Will, Just finished watching your EPS 2. You mentioned sizes of bench lengths that’s good but a camera sweep around for some perspective would be good also. Also you do present very well on camera but we need to see some shots with the camera OFF the tripod and you behind the camera. Your entire post 95% at least is the same stagnant shot. Your Editing is very good also. Thanks for the info on the 44’s. Keep up the good work. Kind Regards. Wayne.

The Trainorama 44 class have prefitted speakers,so 930 class probably will also.And they sound good.Also all the lights work with Tsunami2.

Will, i've just discovered your channel, and am a closet Train fan, as in my trains are in my closet!! Due to no room for a layout. I amassed quite a few N-Guage trains over the years, and would love to increase my collection of Aus locos, Can you please point me in the right direction to where i might be able to. the few shops i used to visit i think are gone. Bass Hill, Galston, Tom's at west ryde. thanks Richard

Pre ordered one of those 44's couldnt resist. Dream layout is fassifern in HO / O gauge. Have enough nswgr O scale to probably do it just not the room.

Nice one! Which one did you go for? An excellent choice, although I'm not familiar with the location personally, I did just have a quick look through some photos of the area, looks like it see's a lot of mixed action! ah the problem for most model railway enthusiasts!

Hi, how are you. Great job again and thanks. In answer to your question. I would build Snowpiercer. Netflix tv show about a train which is 1049 carriages long. The world has frozen over. Scale would be ho/oo, with scenes been from each capital cities (or landmarks) that the train goes past. thanks

IDR certainly are making sure the Derm and trailer are correct. As for a layout I'm plotting an outdoor branchline with a terminus.

Hopefully! Especially as we're now seeing the prototype back on the rails down here! A great choice, that would be an excellent scenic layout! Would love to see someone build that, would also be a lot of fun to operate for operations!

Test your trestle bridge building skills if you model how long the trestle was over the Yarra River and Yarra Flats near Yarra Glen, when first built. I believe it ran from near the station, over the river almost to the Macintyre lane level crossing. Each span over the piles would be 15 feet. 502 of them! Or almost 1 and 1/2 miles of trestle.

@@Deano084 mate I fully fell that, trying to get a receipt for a pre order from them was like drawing water from a stone, it has actually put me off doing now. I just put in a standing order at my local shop or wait until they're on the webstore. This seem to be a very common thing I hear!

@@WillJamesRailways u hope all company's make it better, not full payment up front and maybe 20% or somting and the remaining on pick up. I have the same issue with metro hobbies In Melb and die cast cars, I payed up front for a car and waited 18 months to get it! It needs looking at for sure!

Hi Will , It's great to see what you've been finding around Oz in the way of model railways , I was surprised to see my friend John as part of your review with his N scale X class loco's at West Oz N models & he's always updating something in his selection of models for people to buy , he has a bigger selection of Western Australian models now than he did before so it'd be worth keeping on contact with him to see what he's got available ; I have my own website that's called "Kev's Workshop" & you can find it easily via my You Tube channel or by doing a web search for it if you're interested??

Yes it is! I do believe someone else makes them in N scale, and I've also seen O scale ones as we'll which are very nice!
