Novak is at a point where he knows these ceremonies are just a bunch of biased bs and hes there like "lets just get through this" and his focus on the game is insane. This is why I respect this guy more than any athlete. His mental game is out of this world.
this is the reason why I love him so much, he defies all odds on his way to the top. Any other players would be dismantled by this unjust treatment, but not Nole.

"Rafa tonight was not your night but you're clrealy the fan favourite, you have been for years now. And we're all very confident you'll be back here for another Australian Open Championship and walk away with the title so bad luck tonight and we look forward to seeing you soon." Wow, this way of favorising is unprecedented by a tennis official. What a shame.
Zafferung yeah, except the numerous matches he played to actually reach the final. And all of the extensive training that he does. And, oh yeah, he did actually play matches after the US...
@@zafferung4440 and in 2018 Nole just came back from injury and beat Rafa in Wimby semi final and went on to win the title. Same goes for US Open too :)
Nole is always so gracious in his complements towards his opponents. He’s is on his way to becoming GOAT.....this coming from a Fed fan. He is playing unbelievable tennis especially from the back of the court and converts a defensive position into an offensive position so often, it’s unreal!
Exactly I am a huge fed fan but boy if Djokovic keeps that level for 2 years then he will become the GOAT. Federer for his style of play is unmatchable but in terms of success Djokovic has what it takes to be even more successful!!
keran seunarine 💯 these world class athletes are trained from childhood to have the mental ability and strength basically of robots. And they have a surrounding of cushioning support in terms of people and their team to ensure these things don’t reach their mental psyche. They are never left alone.
Everybody loves Feds one handed backhand , they love Raffas comitement , speed and fight but for me If I ever had to risk something dear to me in a bet I would put all of my faith in Novak I feel that he is the highest level player of all time , I'm a Fed fan but this Man is an absolute machine . Raffa didn't drop a single set in the two weeks and this Man took him apart . The True Goat for me .......he has More gears and more consistency than fed and Raffa and that's a near impossibility His shot choice is remarkable as is his speed and balance. He doesn't appear to have Great weapons or flamboyance apart from his flexibility but his way is clearly the Best way !!!! I hope that one day he'll get the true recognition that he unquestionably deserves I'm English , this man is a Huge credit to his country and a true inspiration to the young and old alike
These people who talk in the stage clearly does not like novak, specially the woman one, she keep praising Rafa in her speech, what scene. This is Novak Moment. Gladly novak handle it with such grace Nadal compliment novak like 30 sec. Novak congratulate rafa like 1 min. No comparison. But well done novak.
Who is how and what everyone knows that.... if someone prefers Rafa it is not his fault.... Surely Novak gains his slams and no one should disrespect that.... But Rafa is Rafa...you can not change that...the praising time does not decide about the person....
Sayantani Bhattacharjee. Nobody say its rafa fault. But he lost here and Novak Should get more credit than him, because its his moment. Sure nobody could reapect her decicion to praise rafa, but also NOBODY deserve to get second praised while you’re a CHAMPION! It’s diresepect to NOVAK!

I am not even talking about audience react lol, you take it far away just make your point clear, Bye!
Maybe she just told such stuff about rafa to console him because he was the one who lost and would be feeling miserable . Like if she kept praising novak it would just disappoint Nadal more
Dude Nadal lost so we have to calm him and make him feel happy first then champion He is best player before Djokovic era Runner up should be treated with respect and kindness bro are you human or not 😡😡😡😡😡😡 Nadal is Nadal he can turn ice into water also Nadal won 9 major titles in pre 2011 He got matured early physically and mentally before Djokovic He is senior to Djokovic when it comes to Winning major titles and facing prime Federer on clay and grass.
With this insult Nadal will retire with 25 major titles and 1 ATp finals title. Djokovic won't be respected as much as Nadal and Federer for sure As Djokovic started dominating hard and grass courts after Federer turned 30 actually when Federer is getting old for playing tennis sport Nadal and Federer are seniors and Djokovic is junior to them actually Nadal faced Prime Federer on grass whom he pushed Federer to 5 sets for the first time in 2007 as no player did it which Andy Roddick also couldn't do it in 2004,2005 If Djokovic face Prime Federer on grass he would definitely lose in straight sets for sure 100% Djokovic will lose in straight sets at Wimbledon. Federer prime ended in 2011 actually then Djokovic is able to dominate grass and hard courts and winning major titles.
The closest to unstoppable that men's tennis has seen in the past 30 years is Nadal at Roland Garros. That's why it has continually been deemed the most difficult challenge in all of tennis. Your guy at his favorite venue is simply not on Nadal's RG level.
Djokovic is a GOAT. To beat a champion like Nadal, in straight sets and that too in a grand slam final is something very very special. What an amazing performance!! Exceptional court covering, ruthless backhand and forehand winners... Simply wow! Even the GOAT Rafa had no answers!!!
@A R they may as well, saved a bunch of irritated former admirer of the Australian Open grief. Sydneysiders would've never let that SHIT fly!!! rafa has no excuse and lost my respect as well. Novak is now 2-0 vs piss pouting rafa in Melboune.

The bias against Novak is enough. It is disgusting and unacceptable. He is a GOAT and he has earned the right to be respected. You don't have to like him, but you will respect his achievement. Crowds and tennis media are so against him because he has beaten their 'darling favourites' Rafa and Roger over and over, but SO WHAT? That's what the game is about. You win and lose. Doesn't mean you boo and treat someone badly for it. Enough is enough. Enjoy these 3 GOATs while you can. Nothing lasts forever.
The illuminati establishment puppets Federer and Nadal are the favorites. Doing their best to promote and glorify them two, even when they don't deserve such unnecessary attention.
Novak is used to it and it had not stopped him from breaking records after records. I doubt this will change. Who cares about the haters? Their loss anyway
@A R because rafa is a crying pussy they all need to soften this up from calling it the true name its demolition, its complete defeat...not just a loss
i agree with you. thats y i choose to be the fan that gives novak the supports he needs. Game just looked too easy. those haters are only in it for the show/story, not for the talent of the sport. i was roger fan when i started tennis because of how glorified roger was, but after i saw novak tennis style few years ago. i knew he is the best, so i start supporting him. i guess sometimes timing is what player needs to earn some fans. now, i'm here to support novak and his perspective in life.
"My opponent....my opponent...my injuries...", Rafa's words. "Rafa, you are an example to all of us, how you returned from the injury....Rafa, you have been plagued by many injuries throughout your career....As Rafa said...", Novak's words. That much about it.
rafa's english is not the best so i don't blame him for not throwing meaningless words about novak into the air.. he said what he meant and the two of them have been part of so many final ceremonies so just repeating the same words of praise every time got boring to them like 10 tournaments ago
Sampras retired at 31years but these guys wants to play until they cant move. This is a commercial game and for rich people. This is like soccer and cricket because no more fun and they chase the money.
Players can now stay fit in their mid thirties due to modern medicine and surgeries, unlike the 90's when they were done at 30, i think also the different surfaces are more similar now that fast surfaces have been slowed down a bit
@@manisekaranmurugesu278 Pete's last slam was also his last tournament at 31 years old. However Federer was 27 when he surpassed Pete, Nadal was 28 when he passed Pete and Novak has now passed Pete at the same 31 years old. Let's not pretend like the only reason they all passed Pete was because of longevity. Now longevity is going to allow them to all go well past him, but not why they passed by him in the first place.
@@heavyrules6699 Clay is still way slower than the other 3 slams and yet all 3 of these guys can win on every surface. Pete's game was only built to win on fast surfaces and that is why he was limited to 14 slams. If he could have adapted his game to clay as well he would have won at least a couple more slams.
@@cobra7282 yes but back then it was harder to win on all surfaces, players were more specialized and now the other surfaces have slowed down even Wimbledon, making it easier for baseline players to win every tournament.
If Novak Stays #1 till the end of the year he will be #1 for 283 weeks. The 300 week mark is a really possibility. Its only a matter of time before Federer's GS record is broken by both Nadal and Djokovich or at least one of them.they both already have more masters 1000 then him and both also have a HTH lead.By the time Nadal and Djokovich retire Fed will no longer be the GOAT.
Miguel Barahona I agree with Jeffrey. Novak will stay on#1 in next few years .so the record of Federer will be replayed in one day future.but the record of 20GS .I have a feeling Joker and Rafael will both stop at 18 GS .no reason! Just feel like it’s
Unfair treatment.. so biased forwards Nadal.. it is so obvious who they wanted to win.. Djokovic proved once again that when it comes to grand slam finals he is the goat... amazing performance from nole
Yes, it is and was obvious who they wanted to win. I would love to understand why is it like that. I doubt that it has anything to do with his nationality. IMO, it has something to do with his character.
@@trebronlibrando4384 It's because of his past and recurrent behaviour, or do you turn a blind eye to that. Also Nadal knows what it's like when the crowd and officials are showing preference for the opponent. Remember the AO trophy ceremony of 2009? He might crave the love, but it has to be earned. It is not a right. It takes something more than winning a tennis match to be a great champion. Leopards do not change their spots and Djokovic has too often shown the nasty side of his character. People do not forget the frequent incidents when he has screamed at ball kids, or his team, scaring those kids. They do not forget the foul mouthed rants at the crowd, even though he does it in Serbian, there are people around the world who understand. His apologies afterwards are hollow, because he then goes out and does it again. He doesn't come across as a real, true person. It's as though he doesn't feel comfortable in his own skin, everything has to be a show, a rehearsed act. He tries to be nice, but therein lies the problem. He has to try, it doesn't happen naturally. The only time his true self is revealed is when he shows his temper. I may be wrong, but that is how he comes across
@juneaug Lok It's ironic that a Serb Nikola Tesla made it possible for you to type your bullshit and even watch tennis. Keep enjoying the best tennis player in history provided by the brilliance of the smartest man in history, both Serbs.
@@sayantanibhattacharjee.772 No, but you don't seem to understand. First, nobody has problem with Rafa or his fans, but with the presenters of the tournament. And yes, they are disrespectful to Novak because they don't give him enough credit for what he've done. And they have right to love Rafa more privately, but as the presenters of the tournament they shouldn't expose that publicly. They are suppose to be professional, witch means objective, neutral and respectful to the real champion.
Serbian tiger was on hunt and was in no mood to spare and had already shown his intentions by winning semifinal more comprehensively than Nadal. It's was just matter of time to lift the trophy. However nobody expected that he would be so brutal and Nadal would be so helpless.☺️😀 Many congratulations to Novak.
These speechers are a shame for humanity. they deserve no attention. Glad that novak could handle this circus of BS ignorants. It's been decades since i feel the effect of cold war, as westerners always supporting and complimenting their sportsmen and ignoring the east Europeans when something great is done by them. A good example is the commentaries in Eurosport since the 90's. Novak is my role model, No ego-very natural, Very intelligent, Very humble and respectful for everyone. Being honest by sharing his brilliant thoughts with everyone. Great sense of humor and positivity. Much respect.
Bad luck Rafa?? Uh NO...got his ass handed to him by a superior player. Novak must be the GOAT, after all!! Total domination and total dismantling of Rafa's serve.
It was really a very well organized, and very well documented, casted and video recorded open. I feel like Aussies really take pride in organizing this open and it shows. Congratulations to the organizers , and all the athletes, for an amazing two weeks in the sport we all love.
Even though Rafa hasn't played in many months, he looked great going into this match against Novak. The reason that Novak gives Rafa trouble is that Novak takes the ball early, hits the angles, and, most importantly, has the greatest backhand in the game, one where it isn't affected by Rafa's top spin forehand. Novak's game just matches up really well against Rafa, especially on fast surfaces. Since 2014, Novak's record against Rafa on hard courts is 6-0. Since 2014, Novak's record against Rafa on clay is 4-3. Since 2014, on grass it is 1-0. He simply has brought his game, especially on hard courts, to another level against Rafa and his recent injuries, time off, lack of matches, etc...really have nothing to do with his loss today. Rafa destroyed Tsitsipas two days before, so he was in good form as well as the fact that he had basically two days to rest. No excuses! Novak is simply the better player.
In less than 20 years the Grand Slam tally of Pete Sampras was equaled and surpassed not by 1 but 3 players. Let that fact sink in ladies and gentlemen.
I have always admired and adored Nolé since 2004 when I first saw him play, I knew he was and IS VERY SPECIAL!!! His anticipation, movement, ball striking, HELL his whole game is PURE MAGIC!!! you can tell these 2 fabulous Champions have played 500 times, their rivalry is legendary!! I thought the Australian crowd AND ANNOUNCERS were surprisingly rude towards NOVAK'S INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT!! NOLÉ! NOLÉ! NOLÉ! Hilarious how no one cheered for wayne....lol.
If Djokovic is playing like this at The French Open look out. I honestly think he has a chance to catch Nadal in the overall grand slams and Federer too by next year. The next-gen is a few years away from challenging the big 3. I would put Del Potro in the conversation with the big three as long as he can stay healthy.
Novak was superb in this AO 2019 semi final and final. It's like he saved his two best performances for the last two stages of this GS. And an incredible win, its monumental. He is the first man to capture 7 AO titles and now holds a 15 GS in total, just 2 slams away from Nadal and 5 from RF. This performance level of Novak is just astonishing and brilliant! what a ruthless efficiency

This's the best performance that I ever see novak played! Very aggressive from the start to finish, and very few wrong choice of shots, Well executed! with his New serves has much easy time to hold his own serves, and disguises his shots very well like he did at 2011... with this level now he'll win at least 2 GS/yr. He'll win more than 20 GS for sure.

Absolutely extraordinary Tennis and Nole was in other level sometimes.Rafa as usual still here and great for him. Is the road of recovering this last millimeters of his great level.
It was an amazing 2 weeks for both of these geniuses. Both of them to comeback from injuries and perform is amazing. Novak - you were brilliant tonight and deserved the win. Rafa, like she said, it was not your night but you were # 1 last year and you will be #1 again. Love the sport of tennis and the professionalism there is in the game.
I don't like the way the Aussie Tennis faculty here during this presentation openly favor Nadal in a way that clearly, undisputedly puts down Djokovic. That's not right, it is not a crime that someone beats the player you favor so it should not be publicly presented that way. It was a fair game and these adults should stay neutral and congratulate and commend both men equally. The absolute fact is that Djokovic won today in what was clearly a fair game after busting his behind playing incredibly. For all of them to individually say that Nadal is still the fan favorite and will come back next time and beat everyone and win the championship is irresponsible and an intense backhanded slap in the winner, Djokovic's face who played bloody hard and incredibly well and does not deserve that cold shoulder, especially repeatedly. Even if they are trying to make Nadal feel better, they should figure out a way to say it without punishing Djokovic by putting him down like this because he won. Djokovic didn't commit a crime. He played very, very hard and clearly earned it. Don't kidnap his moment because of your personal feelings, you are all adults, that is your internationally public stage, use it responsibly. This is an international sport! Two days ago I watched the sit down interview that Nadal had after beating his opponent, Tsitsipas to make it to this final today and I was a bit turned off by the way Nadal spoke about Tsitsipas's upset attitude of losing to him. It was also not nice at all and I personally think it attributes to his loss today where he gets to literally walk in Tsitsipas's shoes in the feelings of losing this badly. He should have been kinder and more empathetic with his words about him. I play tennis, I know what it's like to win and I also know how it feels to lose. You never know which day is yours.
@@amritsubedi5145 You are right because the Tennis association will be the first ones to 'publicly' reprimand any tennis player that is disrespectful to the sport of tennis privately or especially publicly in any way. @Outdoorsman76 that's true - that's why he was a long shot to win the AO before the tournament but you can't take away Novak's majestic performance. 9 unforced errors in the entire game (two bloody hours and four minutes)!! To be fair, it wasn't the first time Nadal was slaughtered by Novak (2011 and 2014 came to my mind) so I am not sure at his best he would have changed the outcome other than making it look more respectable. Part of it is the match-up... Nadal's weapons were nullified by Novak and played into his strength.
