Being some who loves rabbits to no end, coupled with taking care of several, this makes me teary eyed and severely angry. I couldn’t venture undercover to witness this abuse, because my emotions wouldn’t allow me to not take physical action against theze abusers. Rabbits are highly intelligent. Behaviors seen in both canniness and felines, which westerners love as pets, are also seen in rabbits. With a loving, supportive human friend, they are loyal, loving, funny, and simply cute.
My bunny lived to be 12, lived his best life, until we put him down. He had the run of my house from the day we got him at 4 weeks old. This is awful to see. That said, meat farming is not something I'm against, that's not the problem here, these conditions are absolutely not ok, even for animals who are destined for slaughter. Shame on those people. There are absolutely ways to better the living conditions of these animals without increasing costs too much.
I’m not against meat farming either. I’ve even considered farming rabbits for meat. But the way so many rabbitrys keep them is absurd. They all keep them in 2x2 cages and they think it’s justified and they’re good owners. It’s so delusional. Good luck convincing rabbit farmers keeping rabbits in shelf like tiny cages stacked up is wrong. They can’t make as much money if you keep the rabbits in a field and farm them ethically.
Most animals are factory farmed in order to efficiently provide for our whole human population. Other methods of animal farming are even less sustainable. But killing, abusing or exploiting animals unnecessarily is always unethical.
I raise bunny for show and meat. This really sadden me too. All my buns regardless if they end up feeding the family, Get outside time on grass, treats, and simple grooming. They live in very clean homes, always fresh water, and good quality hay and pellets. I consider that just basic. These poor buns are treated like dirt. No way to treat a life. Exspectly if you raising them for food. At which you have a duty to give that animal best quality of life and respect their life given for yours to continue. This just really makes me mad.

You guessed it. I had pet cow too. I had her when I was a kid. Now, I don't take lightly taking a life for me and my family to eat. I always thank what ever animal given it's life regardless of what type it was. I use all of the animal too. Nothing goes to waste. I also use most humane way to process. No stress unlike kill houses. They never know as they never leave the farm. So last day is like any day to them. This why I prefer my rabbits over waltmart shelf meat. I'm able to give them great lives vs sitting in a coward cattle lot or over filled chicken house, or a tiny pen so small the pig can even turn around. Then all of them a shipped to kill houses . They never given love but only looked at as meat. Yes, all that is true. I have Mrs. Blueberries(my teddy so to be show jumping buck), UpSkitThunder(my champion winning, eat your finger for treats buck), gramp-pa-pa(rescue nz that stole my heart, he also 9yr and sweetest dude) Cheri(the worse attitude doe you ever meet but I love her anyway) Bugs and Sweetpea( two rescue angora who came me so horrible matted it toke me days to clip and they also needed a ton of vet care), Whiskers Jelly(teddy doe who has stomach issues and needs alot on going vet care) and last but not least my two girls Willow and Lilly( also rescue who live there life's out here as beloved pets) Not all my bunnies are for food. Very few are. I also give back by taking rescue no one else want. Recuse never process and few leave. If they do it to someone I know personally. I also don't sell pet bunnies unlike other breeders. I'll tell you all my rescue cone form pet homes. I personally hate most pet homes because of the amount of neglect I seen form them or just even inproper care given. You can try changing my mind but you wouldn't. I can almost certain I spend more time then 99% of pet homes do with their bunnies. Form clipping, daily grooming, 2x week pan cleaning or daily poop bin cleaning to run time either inside or grass time. I also have 3 types of pellets and 2 hay types so each bunnie get the diet they need. I also keep meds on hand for emergencies. Do you do? What if your rabbit bloats can you start treatment right away before vet or do you just wait? I'm also active with youth on rabbit care though 4h and ffa. Do you offer that at your pet home?

I had three bunnies. They had free roam in our garden daily and in the evenings they had a brick garden house with a door and a window. I miss them every day, they had the best care and diet and were so loved ❤. It’s heartbreaking to see this misery. Rabbits are highly intelligent and so delicate 😢

The rabbit that was tossed in the trash with the other 2 dead baby bunnies but was still alive like wow these rabbits would be better off getting eaten by predators than to live such an insufferable life with no hope or freedom just a cold cage stained by feces judging from how many had feces stuck to their fur and the one that had feces stuck in its eyes that cant be pleasant and they never get to wash them selfs. We have the ability to help them and we should. Besides, many animals do naturally get along well with humans and care about us, as long as we're not exploiting or being cruel to them. That includes cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, ducks, etc. They look to us for support, we've bred them to be easy to control and they're vulnerable, weak beings as a result. We gain their trust then betray them. There's no reason to think they would ever do the same to us if they could. Even if animals don't care about us (which is very disputable), we still owe it to them to care about them and treat them well. We should be stewards of nature, not destroyers and abusers of it.
I've never cried over a youtube video before but when I saw the head tilt and the rabbits being flung across the room. Treated horribly "kicked when already down" seeing that they have no life from the second they are born nothing to look forward to, it just ripped me up. My throat hurts silently trying so hard to not make a sound as a cry sniffling feeling my blood boil trying really hard to not make a sound because opposite me I have my two rabbits sleeping on a full belly and they will wake up jump on the sofa with me and watch the news right after following me to the fridge licking my hand and face. I can't believe people make it all about cats and dogs but treat rabbits like this. There are millions of them, they exist only for our pleasure. That being said, I initially thought they were being bred to be sold as pets or playthings but if I understand the video correctly it seems like they are being bred for meat. If they're being bred to be sold alive to people for pets or torture toys then their condition is entirely acceptable. However, if they are being bred for meat....I would be worried that my meat is diseased based on the nasty conditions and that isn't ok. Cruelty is all well and good, but if those animals are being eaten then someone needs to clean that place and also quickly discard any sick ones and maybe even all the ones that are near a sick one to make sure the meat is safe.

I felt so sad watching this I was crying 😢 and crying that all these rabbits or bunnies are suffering 😢 in there in cages and some of them are trying to bite the cages like saying please 😢 let us go or let us live. I just can't believe how they suffer like this. Bunnies and rabbits don't want this type of danger anymore please save their life's I'm crying 😢. I'm crying because some of them toss the rabbit as a toy on the floor and some of them are thrown away in trash. I saw one white rabbit in the trash still alive moving and moving and after that the white rabbit wasn't moving anymore she was dead oh my gosh I'm crying 😭 😢. Also I still feel sad the white rabbit in the trash was moving but then she was dead I'm still crying 😭 about her because she looked yellow and sick and she couldn't move and breathe and suddenly she stopped moving and died and passed away I don't know why the people who were video recording it didn't pick her up and let her keep moving on the floor to have more space or give her medicine if she was sick same thing to the other rabbits who were suffering why they didn't give them medicine if they were sick alot in their bodies. Most of what this video shows is horrible. Having raised rabbits myself, I can assure people that most private breeders are extremely concerned about the welfare of their animals. Still, biology causes deformities and sickness, animals attack each other, death still happens. All of this is natural, but at least these animals are not eaten alive like they almost always are in the wild. Most are well treated and many are literally pampered. It is also obvious that this video is political in nature and the intent is to elicit a shocked response.
We should farm and eat more delicious rabbits, they're much better and more eco-friendly than pork or beef. Bunnies with splayed legs and leg tilt are just as delicious as normal bunnies!

@@Adnancorner Cats can't usually survive and be healthy without meat since they're naturally obligate carnivores. As cats are highly domesticated animals, some people are working on developing vegan cat food that uniquely provides their needs without meat, which is a modern invention and needs more study and development, but early results show it actually may be beneficial to their health (as it is with dogs and humans). However with cats' unique biology it is easy to mess up pH levels and cause sickness if not monitored and done properly, so I wouldn't take the risk until it's more tried and true. There's also no need to have cats necessarily especially as we have a huge pet overpopulation crisis, it's always better to adopt pets rather than buy them. Dogs, who are typically omnivores (which speaks to ability of foods to consume for survival, not necessarily need or health benefit), are proven to be healthy and even healthier on vegan diets, similar to humans. Setting aside pets/companion animals, obligate carnivores in the wild of course not only don't have the ability to make moral decisions, but also are forced to hunt animals to survive. They don't have another option and they can't be held to the same standards of morality as we can. I'll put it another way. A particular mentally handicapped person doesn't know what they're doing or understand right from wrong, so they insult us and throw food at us when we try to feed them and take care of them. Should we return the favour and treat them badly, or should we understand that they're vulnerable and need help, or that we have the ability to consider the issue more carefully and holistically and treat them well unlike they treat us, because it's still the right thing to do? I think we should help a vulnerable person who doesn't necessarily return the favour but needs our help and for us to not exploit and harm them, just like we should care for and at the very least not unnecessarily harm or exploit vulnerable animals.

We can control what we do, and the vast majority of suffering of animals (trillions every year) are caused by humans who have exploited and bred them into enclosed farming systems in short, tragic lives of suffering and cruelty, all for ultimately unnecessary purposes since there are proven alternatives that don't involve animals and are better in every way. The only reason people resist changing is habit or lack of awareness around this. Once people realise their needs and even desires can be met without the need to exploit animals, everything changes, unless they still desperately latch onto the idea of wanting to keep doing the same thing and never changing. That's the same resistance to progress that abolishers of human slavery faced. Embrace progress and positive change as it's the only way our society can grow and evolve. We won't be a successful species or even one that survives sustainably unless we fix our broken food system which is destroying the environment, by transitioning to plant-based diets. It's clear we can't keep going the way we have been, and with overpopulation and increasing environmental destruction for the highly inefficient system that is animal agriculture, we're reaching a breaking point with the Earth and human civilisation that's going to put increasing pressure on food reforms for our own benefit and survival and the preservation of our planet, even if not for our fellow animals.
