Honestly, great season. I understand why some people hate it, because of the edit that was given to George and Hayley. I thought it was bad, but at least we got a deserving winner. I think everyone should start looking at the great parts instead of the negative parts. For example there were so many blindsides, (Joey, Gerald, Laura).I was so happy to not get any predictability. For example I thought the Shannon/Simon rivalry would go to the end, but it ended towards the end of the swap. But I do understand where people are coming at with the edit. They need to balance that out, but that’s my opinion. I’m just glad we’re getting yet another season.
This was my first aus survivor season and I enjoyed it. But I despise the editing with Australian survivor. Btw I watched a few episodes of 2016 before this season
@IKMS He has also a good side in him when he said that cara must not play his idol for him but cara still played it anyway to save george. It shows that he is selfless. Plus helping wai in a challenge.
LOVE LOVE LOVE GEORGE😍 George was fantastic! His thinking ability was phenomenal and therefore he was a total threat to all. They were so consumed with hating him rather than rewarding him for his superbly strategic game. BRAVO GEORGE, 👏👏👏
I know its cliche but dont hate the player man hate the game but it's all good nonetheless that Hayley won because Flick had no strategy other than winning challenges

Currently on episode 8! I am literally watching Hayley’s game in awe. She is legit, one of best players of all time. ALSO I actually wonder if the twist that ended up switching Cara to brawn tribe was pre planned last minute to save George LOL. Australian survivor is so much better than US because the longer episodes allow us to see in depth the dynamics of the tribes. Like the relationship between Wei and George is so nuanced and interesting in the episodes I’ve watched so far. Also these players just seem way more intelligent, mature and have so much depth in comparison to American version. Lastly I love the emphasis on success stories of each contestant in their everyday life opposed to in the USA version having more of an emphasis on sob stories. Anyways what a ride watching this has been so far. Such a treat! I wish the USA version would take note.

It has a lot of twist, for instance, Cara voted out to their tribe and joined the other tribe, Laura and Shannon voted out in their tribe but decision is made by four who has individual immunity, Baden and Hailey goin to redemption, George advantage that saved Cara and voted out Laura, and Flick luckily pick urn that saved her.. just a few twist that change the Game I guess..

Here in South Africa we have only screened up to episode 17 as of today but I absolutely love this particular series as my biggest frustration with all other survivor series worldwide was that the strongest always gets voted out and the weakest gets pulled along... this made for boring/frustrating viewing... In this series I have soooo enjoyed all the new twists to keep strong players in and the battles have been epic. Just like it should be...real battle of the strongest... Well done on all the new twists and secret immunity...I love it. For me, who have followed survivor from the beginning, this is hands down the most exciting series, it sets a new bench mark for others to follow.
Simon broke the number 1 rule in Survivor trust no one the minute he told Dani and Chelsea about his 2 immunity idols I knew they were going to backstab him and get the tribe to vote him out. as we all know the first person to be voted off with 2 idols was James from Season 15 in China
I have to agree. George is not the strongest in challenges and just like a politician he could spin any story and lie with a straight face... It would have been a travesty if he won with all his lying and betrayals, however as much as I disliked his ways, I found him entertaining to watch and for that reason I would like to see more of him...
Congratulations to Hayley for the win but George kept me on the edge of my sit for the last 9 or 10 episodes he was on the bottom and he wasn't even winning immunity idols either yet he kept on surviving when everyone including people from his own alliance but the guy kept on ducking the fire shots so to me he is an epitome of what a survivor should be it is just that the majority of the jury were blinded by hate because they gunned for him and they kept on losing but it is what it is

Honestly I do think George deserved the win, one of the most impressive games from a playing from the bottom playstyle, but I can't be unhappy with the winner, she played amazingly she knew what moves she had to make and how to integrate herself in the right alliances her end game was a little messy tho with her not thinking flick could have an idol and losing her goat because of it and then not voting george in the final 4 causing the other goat to get voted out
George was awful throughout. Disgustingly stupid first move, abysmal social game, failed to flush the idol, turning himself into a traitor in the process, needed Cara to quit the game to save himself, then kept getting advantage after advantage, never once doing a single significant thing with any of them. His best move in the game was getting Wai out - which was exactly what Hayley wanted. Pay attention to that TC. And then Cara later confirms Hayley was in on the plan all along. Hayley was better than George at everything. Much better at strategy, infinitely better socially, and infinitely better physically. Hayley is an easy top 10 player right now. George is not top 50.
@@925263 idk, what happened when Hayley went after George? she got voted out, if Hayley didn't get voted out then sure she may well of deserved this win, but all of that jury were voted off, they just didn't get a twist like Hayley's.
Listening to George pitch his reasons to win to the jury, his lack of humility and failure to apologize for anything he did, I feel was his undoing. his speech was cringe worthy and arrogant. He had a slim chance, and he blew it right there sitting on a stump flouting his sneaky moves.
Yeah haha, spoilers below: Even tho George got a strong edit and in my opinion had poorer jury management compared to Hayley, I do feel bad for him, I think he started crying a little bit, which I understand since he had a massive journey.

I really loved this season, great start on me watching this as this was my first ever Australian Survivor season that I have watched. Sure it had some flaws, but it was still great. I wanna talk about each cast member and tell you if I want them to return or not. First is Phil, I love Phil. They were robbed! I hope they can come back in a future all stars season. Janelle is something. I didn’t really care for her, sorry… I don’t think she should come back. Gavin is kinda the same as Janelle. I did expect better from him so it was kinda disappointing that he went out early. But better him than Simon and Emmett. Benny, I hate him. Sorry. Mitch was kinda confusing for me… like he had a chance to shine in the premiere episode but after that he was like nowhere! I dont know if I want him to come back. Joey is another interesting one. I did like him, as he was enthusiastic all the time. He had a great personality and wouldn’t mind seeing him come back. Big D, I did like him. He is your typical teddy bear muscly guy. His blindside was one of my favorites from this season. Wouldn’t mind seeing him back. Shannon! Omg I didn’t expect her to go this early!!!! Like what the heck, I was shocked to the CORE! Queen deserves to come back. Georgia, I felt bad for her. I feel like she definitely has something more to her than what she was shown. But I dont know if I would like to see her back some season. Rachel, I did like her. I think she was a decently great player than what most people think. But she was taken out early and unfortunately didn’t make the merge. Wouldn’t mind seeing her back. Simon! Just like Shannon! I wanted to see more of their rivalry so freaking bad! But his blindside was another of my favorites. Being taken out with two idols is HUGE! King deserves to come back. Kez, sweet Kez. I really liked Kez. She was a cool individual, and had a very bubbly personality. Sucks that she was the merge boot and didn’t make jury. But honestly, she should’ve waited until everyone left the river for her to get the idol. But oh well. Chelsea, I kinda forgot about her. But I do feel bad for what happened to her. I think she was a strong physical player and maybe should get another chance? Baden, I liked Baden. He was cool and chill. But I thought he would’ve went farther! Great blindside though. Gerald, he is fine. But I didn’t care TOO much. But he was alright. Laura! I love Laura! I know this is an unpopular opinion but I did really like her. She really was the true underdog of this season, or at least one of the underdogs. Her allies got taken back to back (Georgia and Rachel). She was left alone and had to fend for herself. I was really bummed out when she got voted out, but happy she made the jury. If you guys seen the Jury Villa segments you’ll like her more there. Emmett! Another one of my favorites! Also, my Australian Survivor crush. He is an amazing physical player and I wouldn’t mind seeing him again. It would be classified illegal if he won’t ever come back. Andrew, huh? Wait… am I still on the right show? WHO THE HELL IS ANDREW!? Now listen, I know he got some screen time in the last few episodes he was in. But like in the beginning where was he? That’s all. Dani, I did like her. She is one cool and tough girl! Her friendship with flick is so sweet, and I wouldn’t mind seeing Dani back. Wai, no WAI did I think that she would make it to top 5! She was another underdog. I really like her, she is a nice girl. Wouldn’t mind seeing her again. Cara, oh Cara. I loved her sacrifice for George in the 6th episode. But after that, she just kept messing up! I almost feel bad for her. Between the Big D vote and even her vote off! Still like her though. Flick! I loved Flick! Literally so happy she made it this far! When she got the news that her mum passed away I was literally devastated! I was scared to death that she was gonna walk out from the game because I really liked her then and didn’t want to see her go. But when she decided to stay I sighed in relief. She is great social and physical player, really hope she comes back. “George, oh George. GEORGEEEEEEE!!! Ugh, George.” That was me the whole time I think about George. Great player! That’s all. I can’t say anything more because I don’t want to get hate. Hayley is a queen! She deserves this win! I don’t care what anyone says, if you think George deserves the win, then cool. But in my hopefully respected opinion, I think Hayley deserves it. That’s all. :)

Worthy to return for another season are Joey, Dani, Simon, Shannon, Hayley, Flick, Wai and George. I'm thinking about Emmett also to see his character development like what happenned to Zach in All stars. Haha
I don’t want the return of Joey who was too arrogant, Dani who was very annoying as heck with her BIG MOVE mentality and totally stupid, Hayley no because she’s one of the worst winner i have ever seen (but it could be funny to her to comeback in a returnee season and be the first boot, to show she’s overrated). Flick, no, because her vote for Hayley at FTC disappointed me a lot. Wai would have no chance if she return and George, maybe i would say yes, but first, he was way too ubiquitous (so much that i caught an overdose) and second, he wouldn’t have any chance in a return. @@mudsurvivor what i mean by the fact that i don’t want to see George in a return is because if he come back in an All-Star 2, he would be targeted very early and boot very quick because of his run in BvB. He’s too big of a threat because everyone will know that he’s very sneaky and dangerous on the long-term. Moreover, even if i loved him, he was way too present in the edit (so much that i caught an overdose). It’s another reason that i don’t want to see him again. But, even if i criticize him, i found his defeat at FTC very unfair.
I loved Wai in this season she was my winners pick definetly had a great underdog story I don’t think she would come back for another season but i know I’d love to see her play again
To be honest I don’t really care if she got voted out and got back in, it was part of the game, and part of the game is facing twists. In the end she was able to outplay George in the final 2.
@@mudsurvivor and she was the better all rounder. She was Brain and Brawn. George, though charismatic didnt play well with most of the tribe and his outplay was horrible. Hayley had a better social game than him and she had a better physical game than he did. Throw that together with her slick strategy, she was the better option to win. I'm so excited she won. George would have been a deserving winner too though.
@@HaleyVic17 EXACTLY! George didn’t realise that yes you have to play a big game, but you still need to make people like you. A good example is during Emmets vote off when George yells about him, it’s not a good decision.

What i can say about this season is that it had the Better post merge player group then other seasons. All the irrelevant players got voted out before merge expect for Gerald, Laura and Wai
I don’t see how Wai was irrelevant she had a good underdog story she had some key allies in George and Hailey and even got 2 immunity wins one premerge one post merge she went from first boot to the final five your entitled to your opinion I’m not trying to change that
I remeber being very mid on this when it came out but I’ve grown fonder over time. It’s honestly hilarious how this cast had two good players and then everyone else sucked at the game and it was great Tv, like Dani, Simon, Flick, Gavin, Cara, Andrew all we’re doing things and failing horrendously(Simon not so much)

Pretty underwhelming season due to the number of twist and unbalanced editing yet very entertaining with some memorable castaways even though only few of them are competent strategically.
George should've won hands down. He was the best player and most smartest one. Best survivor contestant in all of survivor. Deserved it more than Hayley did. He did what no one else could.

He's a smart ninja haha he even saved Hayley from elimination and she threw him under the bus but he still stuck by her even though he wanted her gone. He should've been crowned the winner cause he played a better game than everyone. You don't need to be physical to survive... you just need to be smart

Nah he just was only good strategically. If the jury hates you, and you sit out of challenges when a large chunk of the group is a bunch of brawns, you probably don’t deserve the win

The brawns voted Hailey because she lined up with what they saw in a worthy winner. Nothing is wrong with that. Yes Hayley got voted out and that’s a valid argument, but George himself never told the jury about that while Hayley admitted to her own mistakes. Hayleys FTC was great and George’s wasn’t, and that’s what swayed the jury
I feel that Hayley just had better jury management, and maybe if the jury watched the show back maybe some of them would’ve voted George idk, but maybe because of his massive edit XDDD

I'm glad others are talking about the bad edit. It really was bad, they COMPLETELY gave Hayley away as the winner very early on with some of her confessionals. I clocked it in episode 5 or 6, like many did I'm sure, plus an overload of George all season and not too many very likeable players made for the worst Oz season yet in my opinion. I hate to be negative, I usually praise this version of Survivor but this isn't one of those times. The way they edit it in general is bad, splicing together different sentences, it's very noticeable, they need to stop doing that and try to balance out the editing of the players, or else reduce the cast from 24 to 20/18 and make the seasons shorter.
I just hope they take feedback and change, but I feel like they are doing this edit for people who have never ever watched survivor and by seeing George they might start getting into the show
@@mudsurvivor That's another point, they seem to spoon feed the viewer in Oz Survivor, like a confessional will often start with a person listing the names of who is in their alliance vs who isn't, like we've forgotten or something lol but as an experienced viewer of the show having seen all of the US seasons, there was a quote from Hayley that just set off my winner edit alarms (if that's a thing). It just stood out as being something they'd show at the end when she's won in her highlight reel. I can't remember the quote and I didn't watch the finale to know if it was shown but I just knew. I really hope they make a better job of editing next season but I doubt it will change.
Imo 2019's edit was worse than this seasons but they're both pretty damn bad. I hope this is just a unique season in the grand scheme of things instead of a sign for things to come because I don't know if the show can last that long with this sort of format
The way kez gave an idol to flick after elimination left a bad taste in my mouth. Was it done before in the US version if not that's not really fair but it didn't help them at the end so i guess that's that.
Flick should've flipped when had the chance her trine literally tried to vote her off the previous ep and she chose brawn strong after that and didn't flip..... Where was the logic in that im asking
Amazing season, amazing final 2 and an amazing winner. Normally my picks got voted out before the final 4 but this season 2 of my picks from the start got to the end so yes definitely top 10 season for me.
Very disappointing season, not so great final 2 because Hayley who was VOTED OUT, was still here when she shouldn’t be here since a long time. George raised the level, fortunately, because otherwise, the F2 of 2017 could have been less worse that that. But no, this F2 is still the worst. This season is probably in my bottom 10.
I feel like the majority of the Brawn tribe were dull, one dimensional players. Im doubtful they've even seen the show. They seemed to think Survivor was just about challenges and had no interest in anything else. Often a frustrating season with boring players. Made up for by getting a worthy final 2 who both played phenomenal games. Love me some Queen Hayley and King George

At least the Jury was able to set aside their resentment. Hayley was great, but George played the greatest game in survivor history. It was a savage game. But to anyone who values gameplay, he was King.

I agree completely. It's very stupid. To be honest I feel like it's productions fault for any reality game show like Big Brother, The Challenge, and Survivor that has the bullshit Redemption/battle back twist like it's so annoying and why does no one talking trash about this twist, but yet any other twist people trash it like seriously. Let's hope in the future we don't EVER want this bullshit twist again.

Man, after blindsiding almost everyone on that jury, voting out the other finalist and finding countless idols, the jury still made an excuse for themselves to vote Hayley. No hate towards Hayley (who played a great game except for being voted out) but damn I just can't fathom this win.
George just didn’t get the socials in my opinion, like when he got asked if he would change anything if he could redo the game, that question is an opportunity to snatch up a jury vote. “I wouldn’t have given up on those challenges” “I would’ve made a better effort to get to know you”. You can just provide lip service, but he avoided the questions said he’d no regrets and really Russell Hantz’d himself

But I felt the jury made it up a bit, like when they asked who would work with you on the jury if we played again and George said no one would work with me because I blindsided you all which I felt was a fair answer because he had betrayed them all, then Hayley said I would work with all of you which wasn't even the question and the jury looked (or at least it was edited that way) like that was the best answer. What I'm trying to say is that the jury didn't want to vote for George because he had taken them all out so they may of pushed those little things so they could vote Hayley. Certainly I think it's harsh to compare George and Russell.
The way they protected hayley was sooo obvious when they introduced redemption just for her you know she was being favored. Im not mad she won compared to who she faced off at the finals but i personally liked Emmett, Dani, Flick and Cara more. I liked Hayley but as i said they saved her on 3 occasions redemption, arm challenge vs Andrew or whatever, urns and then the final challenge she had an este in all of them bc they were all for endurance. She was a pain researcher and on top of that women have higher pain tolerance then men.
Probably more than you no not all final 3 are. Hayley was favored by the producers they brought redemption just for her in a challenge she could've beaten Baden
George ruined it for me in episode 1, i can't take it so I'm here, i knew production were keeping him for the sake of a good tv, and i was right, made it right at the end. I've never wanted to pvnch someone so bad in the face.
Loved this season, I think Survivor AU is the best of them all. American Survivor has become shitty and apologizing for saying "come on in GUYS" at the beginning of season 41 was just weird and forced. As for season 8 of Survivor AU, it boggles my mind how that BS eating annoying George was not eliminated. Great game by him, true, but he was lucky with so many gullible individuals who didn't do shit all season long (especially Cara and Wai) and it goes to show you can possibly win this game if you lie well enough, even if you have the strength of a 2 years old child and don't win any challenges. Anyway, hopefully this version of Survivor will continue, because I'd rather watch this than any other Survivor series around.

Even George played a good game but his answers to the jury were awful to be honest. He reminded me of Russell’s final tribal council. He should answer wiser than that. Hawley on the other hand had the jury with her answers

Nguyễn Anh Phương - Shomes the challenge that got Haley back in from redemption rock was a joke. She is heaps lighter in body weight the braydon, so it was an easier challenge for her. She wasn’t a challenge beast, and she played a mostly quiet game.

MUD Survivor I was hoping the played that deserved it the most won. But instead the player that played safe won because she let every one else stand in the firing line. Weak as. And the jury that thought they were athletes, were cut because a little wimp like George out smarted them.

Overrated and totally undeserved. George should have won. The jurors should be ashamed of themselves when the previous jurors of All-Stars was very good sport, unlike them, who were too bitter and full of sore losers. Message to the jurors : didn’t you forget that Hayley was VOTED OUT UNANIMOUSLY ? The edit was a litteral shame. The editor should be fired now, like litteraly. The season is just the « Simon/Hayley/Emmett/Dani/Joey/George show ». RIP Gerald, Andrew, Chelsea, Laura. They had a shitty edit that was disrespectful a lot. The other flaws are : - there were way too many idols (12 for 24 players and 48 days, it’s just ridiculous) - some totally unfairs twists (Redemption rock, save scroll, fake council that saved Cara, the elimination of Baden with one single vote…) and moreover, the evacuation of Chelsea broke the rythm of the game and was too favourable to Hayley. The main problem of the twists was, extra to the fact the Australian twists are shit and should never existed, before, they were announced just before the twist start ! Like that, the players could play with the twist and adjust their strategies according to the twist. Here, except save scroll, none of them were announced, and it’s bullshit. Even the save scroll is trash, because this twist raised huge suspicions of cheating. So he wasn’t better than the others. The first fail of AUS since his return on Channel 10. Even if this season had good moments like some likeable players, good challenges and good blindsides ( Benny, Joey, Simon, Kez, Wai and Cara), that didn’t save the season in my eyes. A season to forget, that’s sure. Now, i am wary of the next season after this big disappointement.
@@jacksonia7724 why ? Firstly, her vote out was very deserved, because she screwed up very hard. An unanimously vote out, dude ! Because the twist was super unfair because nobody among the players, not even a single one, was told about the existence of the twist since the Baden votes out. She just had an insane luck and played the lottery by drawing a non-elimination tribal. And nothing justified to put that shitty twist here. Why Kez didn’t have the right to have a second chance ? And Emmett ? And Simon ? It’s up to the customer, now ? Also, the challenge was lopsided, Hayley just couldn’t lose to Baden on that type of challenge. It was almost favoritism. Moreover, George did suceed to eliminate Hayley when this latter never suceed to eliminate George and was used as a pawn in post-merge by George. The only time where it was the opposite, it was at Joey’s blindside.

Yes, she had a better social, but jurors were big sore losers who just can’t accept the fact that strategically, George destroyed them all, and were totally dumb and only focused on physical game. They were bitter, and compared to previous jurors, who were very goodsports and laughed a lot with David, who tricked them more than once, they should be ashamed of themselves because this cast obviously followed last seasons.
