Добавлю немного.. под передние колёса сделать упор что б вперёд не съехала, Под заездные подставки штыри в землю что б случайно не сдвинулись, лесенку сбоку для водителя и самое главное табурет что б работать сидя, потому что машина низко стоит и спина через 5 мин устанет и сломается. Лайк однозначно за идею!
This is actually a very good design! I would add the following: 1) attach the ramp extensions to the main ramp on the way down, in case they were moved, if you roll the car off, you might miss them 2) use the ramp extensions to go under the main ramp at the back, for safety and stability (can be hinged, ties in with 1)) 3) add a adjustable brake to the ramp (as simple as a drag bolt, spring or an old shock), so that it may not drop as fast, relieving a lot of stress and preventing a collapse on the main ramp 4) add a single removable stop plate at the very front, so the front tires of the vehicle can be stopped 5) use flat bar or extruded metal as ramp surface, to save weight and allow for dirt and water to drop through, as well as add traction when tires are wet 6) either recess part of the ramp surface for the tires to drop into or allow for bars to be added and stop the car from rolling off, you just never know 7) buy some cheapo water levels and hard mount them for 2 dimensional cross check 8) weld small angles onto the center frame, to allow for a floor/deck to be laid onto, to store tools or parts during the job 9) weld on small steps on the driver side, to ease access in and out of the vehicle, as well as aid as storage surface By the way, I am German....
I was having similar thoughts. Also, once the car is horizontal on top, if the triangular support was closer to the rear tires, it would place less stress on the ramp and allow for added durability. However, this would make the design longer.
Meanwhile I'm thinking of just digging a 3' or so hallway of dirt. Pour some walls maby a run of stairs and throw a series of grates across horizontally for safety and access then call it done. A person could have this poured with there driveway and be pretty happy.
@@oBseSsIoNPC Touche, I'm not saying there are not obstacles within every engineering endeavor. It is hard to fit it all in a comment though. A sump pump would be an obvious addition. Access would be accomplished by archways within the concrete or brick wall. Rust is a pain to constantly remove or treat and where I live is where metal comes to oxidize at an irrational rate. So this to me was a longer term solution for the investment and less matinance in my mind with low to no moving parts.
One small modification could improve this. After the car is on the ramp and level, If the small on ramps could be stood upright and "Pinned" in place under the back of the ramp, it could increase the stability and safety.
@ James ... yes, at first viewing I was thinking same way BUT thinking more deeply IF that was done (and it would be easy to achieve ) there'd be a problem in getting the vehicle 'back down' down again if there was only the one person (driver) available ... there's have to be at least second person using a rope or something attached to both rear mini ramps to pull them away from the vertical position ... Another way of stabilising the rear might be to use an axle stand of sufficient height, or even 'just a prop' ... that way the item could be removed by the driver before he hopped back in to dismount ?
Just like a mechanics hoist, most of them have small ramps that drop when the hoist is lifted, but they have a pin or some plate to stop the ramps dropping to vertical, same principal could be used here. No need for the ramps to drop completely vertical as they would never lay flat on their own, but drop enough so when the car drives off they lay flat
и звёздные клинья что б были вместе с самой рампой, кто-то ногой зацепит она в сторону съедит, и когда машину спускать то будет неприятный казус, и добавить упоры в задней части тоже не помешает
@@user-pl8me4pi8s если заездные клинья будут вместе с рампой, то могут перевешивать назад. Проще в землю(в их случае) загонять сквозь эти клинья штыри, чтобы предотвратить смещение. И ещё заднюю часть я бы тоже подстраховал упорами.
Está muy buena la rampa! Se podría mejorar haciendo que la primera parte, la que queda en el piso, estuviera unida al resto con un eje y tuviese un resorte. Cuando el auto ya esté arriba, se baja la primera parte y sirve de pata, con un pasador para que no salga de su posición. Luego cuando se quiere bajar el auto, se saca el pasador y vuelve a su posición original por medio del resorte y ya.
wow..!! those are the best ramps i've ever seen. you guys do great work. the only thing i would add, is a stopper welded to the front supports that would go up about 5" higher than the top of the ramp. if i ever want some ramps, i will make them like yours...:) ps..i made some, but they don't pivot like yours...AGAIN...WOW...!!!!
The only other thing I might add is some adjustability in the width of the ramps . Those are fine so long as the vehicle is always the same but if you need to work on something wider or narrower you won't be able to. Otherwise, really cool and well thought out. Excellent job.👍
If you have the machines and knowledge and resources to build something like this then finding out the dimensions on your own shouldn’t be that hard. I wouldn’t go underneath a DIY contraption with a car on top of it though. The ramp in the video probably comes from a real factory where engineers calculated everything. And there would be some testing at the end of the production line to ensure that it can hold something like 2x the weight of the car. Don’t risk your life over some car maintenance moment.

@@user-tm5to9vp6l Преимущества ямы: 1) Можно выкопать под свой рост. 2) Можно одновременно работать как под машиной,так и под капотом.3)Яму не надо собирать,разбирать,где то хранить и она не забирает место(яма ёпта). 4)Безопасный въезд(без экстрима). Преимущества эстакады: 1)Можно установить где угодно,переезжать куда угодно - она всегда с тобой(не продаётся вместе с гаражом)). Все преимущества ямы ,это недостатки эстакады.
Nagyon jó, ötletes szerkezet, akinek kemény a fel és leállás, vagy nincs elég rutinja az szerintem jó helyre beszerelt erős lengéscsillapítókkal még tuningolhat rajta, és máris lágyabb lesz az esés. Csak ugyebár ez megdobja az egyébként gazdaságosra szabott költségvetést :)
Yes you are right in the case of role back, also the drop is too aggressive should be gradual, bouncy suspension might be could be a risk of hopping off. May need to strap/ secure vehicle before the tilt. Great design so far i must say.
За вложенный труд, мастерство и упорство 100% лайк. Молодцы. НО!!! Ребята а какой смысл этой эстакады? Для каких целей она? Масло разве что поменять, и провести визуальный осмотр. Все! Снять шруз, коробку, шаровую и т.д. просто не удобно. Домкрат некуда подкатить, конструкция при всём моём уважении ''жиденькая'', да и высота ни туда ни сюда. Не вижу смысла.

And what happens when the approach ramps are , accidentally moved ? Seems they should be attached either as hard points or on hinges able to fold over onto main ramp when in upright position.

High enough so you can’t work under the hood, low enough so you can’t work under the car, and no lift between the ramps/racks so you can’t even take tires off once it’s up there. Pointless.
I'd weld in cross braces at the midpoint of the 4 triangles to minimize stress on weld joints at the base of the triangles where all the weight will be trying to spread.
At first I thought oh yes a brilliant design but after seeing the vehicle on on top I'm think theirs little room from underneath to work on the vehicle. What if we wanted to remove either the front or rear sub-frame. Maybe good for simple servicing but then again a lot of steel, welding and time spent making the ramp . I feel the massive pivot section in the middle is intrusive and would be in the way for most servicing work.
I cannot understand why they did not even think of that. Neglecting to take that no-brainer common sense step makes me wonder just how well thought-out and safe this contraption is. What other safety measures did they not employ?
Анфиса Николаева Мадам.. Рррррама тут не поворотная ну и вес добавится, а конструкция и так не лёгкая. Можно было сделать, что бы они складывались под карамысло. И единым целом тут и не чего и быть не должно. Если вы заметили, её сделали разборной.
Я тоже об этом подумал.В целом идея интересная,но все равно низкая получается эстакада,если долго что то чинить ноги устанут на полусогнутых стоять под машиной,если бы около 2х метров высотой,было бы комфортней.
