I agree with you. Autel's marketing and product release strategy got wonky on this one. They undermined themselves and ended up leaving room for DJI to win again hands down. I hope updates will address a lot... including harmonizing the App used for control for all the Autel drones... as well as redo the controller.
They had way too many options was horrible move. Everyone was confused by it. Nano and Nano+ and Lite and Lite+ and premium bundles and came in 4 colors which some still seem like never even shipped yet. DJI way slicker company Mini 3 and inexpensive RC Pro who has can be used with Mavic 3 too. Moves like that are going to bury an Autel. And their customer support worse than DJI c’mon now how is that even possible?!? 😩
Nice video. Been flying Evo Lite Pro since Feb 22. Still some work in progress. Still love the aircraft’s flight and solid feeling. Saw you are in Batavia, home of our favorite Grocery chain- Aldi. Love Aldi. Safe flights.
Thank you! Flying the Evo Lite+ for one week now and learning. In pano mode the lightness was automatic with much to dark results, but maybe I dit it wrong. Pano shots need fixed lightness. Again, thank you very much!
I agree with the price …too high …I wanted to pick up the lite plus bundle on Father’s Day…it was down to $1650 …I just couldn’t pull the trigger… now it’s back to $1850 …perhaps the pick will get into the $1500 or lower down the road on the bundle…then bam …until then great video keep them coming there isn’t much on RU-vid on the lite plus besides the usual spec rundown stuff ..nobody shows hands on useable info …thanks
for some reason I cannot get the HDR option for photos to even show up in the menu (for the nano+).. I thought I hade to have it set to Auto and the settings to JPG only but it just does not show up..
@@mmbodnar I’m not even sure honestly. It’s such a shitty app. You can’t bracket shots unless in auto mode not in pro mode for example…there are so many stupid things that make little sense. Sky App sucks right now. That night photo option on Lite+ is a joke too…looks like crap any time I tried
@@AtortAerials yeah I guess it has only been a few months since release.. I remember the first version of the DJI fly app was missing almost everything compared to Go4 app but they added features slowly to keep stable. Here Autel went for the whole shebang and now need to fix the brand new app bugs and inefficiencies while also addressing multiple aircraft firmware features and bugs... their whole game now is a massive software development push to make this hardware shine. Let's hope they see your content and respond with killer updates this month.
Unfortunately the smart controller does not support the evo lite series drones or the nano drones only the evo 2 drones which is really unfortunate I also am using an iPhone an it dims on me constantly looks like I’m gonna have to get a tripltek 8 pro because my phone dimming on me an it only being 80 degrees when it starts dimming is unacceptable!! I also was confused of how to get into pro mode why i looked this video up an found you lol thanks for the info
Hello great review Here is my report about lite + after one month of use. Aircraft has a great camera But...... A) The Gimbal is not stable (has a slightlymovement left and right even the aircraft is at the ground), as a result you often have a photo out of focus( long exposure shoots) & a quite shaky hyperlapse B) Many frequent false alarms of obstacles from both sensors, from the front ones (more) and from the bottoms also , checked 100% that it is not from a reflection or a bird etc. C) It doesn't keep the settings you put in EXP D) The WB (white balance) in all the options that you are obliged to be in Auto because it does not give you the possibility to Pro, it is very sensitive and changes continuously with the result that the video is useless due to the strong appearance in the material and its changes WB. D) In the Quick Shoot option in Orbit, the rotation of the ship is dramatically fast and does not allow you to change the rotation speed, E) Also in the Orbit option again, it doesn't keep the selectable theme you set (it doesn't stay centered i.e. in your initial choice ) F) Ludicrous Mode highest speed is 55km/h ,dramatically low speed relative to the competition, and dangerously slow for high winds. G) Shoot Mode: In the AEB Option used by professionals more, they only have the Auto option in the camera settings... H) Hyperlapse in combination with the unjustified movement of the Gimbal (even when the aircraft is stationary on the ground) with a result (the video is quite shaken( hyperlapse) , photo out of focus, etc.) It also has asynchronous repetition of the camera clicks, that is: while for example you have set a click on each 2S photo, it sometimes ( in the same shot) adheres to it and other times it takes 2 and 3 photos together (click click click) also while at the end it shows you that it has completed the e.g. 200 photos needed, and starts stitching it continues to take photos, about 20 photos after indicating that it completed the photos needed and starting stitching., And of course there is no 10bit as advertised it.
Good points I agree for sure on wobbly gimbal and also crappy hyperlapses. Also histogram keeps on disappearing….histogram needs to be white not grey….grid lines keep disappearing and resetting….needs to be gimbal smoothness setting…..needs to be more flight control settings like Fly App….Sky App is not optimized for iPhone and force sims it immediately. Lots actually.
