We nailed it as we experienced an authentic Thai cooking class, where we make papaya salad, spring rolls, pad Thai, Massaman curry, and sticky rice with mango. There is a magnificent temple next door to our cooking class, that we enjoy climbing the stairs at. The view is beautiful, seeing cool rock formations and a lot of the city. After taking a lot of steps we begin our cooking class. To start we wash our hands and cut the vegetables for the spring rolls, pad Thai, and massaman curry. Once the vegetables are cut we make the papaya salad. It is made from the unripe papaya combine with ingredients like coconut sugar, Chile, fish sauce, carrots, lime, peanuts, and a few others. We each make our own and are able to enjoy it. It is delicious, each element tastes amazing. Once we finish eating our salad we make the egg rolls. Starting with sautéing the vegetables we had previously cut then rolling them up and frying them. We have a somewhat difficult time wrapping them, because we had never done it before. They tasted delicious, and that's all that matters. We enjoyed them with a sweet and spicy sour sauce, which was delightful. The pad Thai is the next dish we make. Our instructor tells us to keep stirring the mixture so it doesn't burn. Everything is thrown into the pan and we stir It up until it was cooked. It was a really god flavor that seemed to build the more we ate. Once we finished eating the pad Thai we moved on to the Massaman curry. Our curry separated a little bit as we were cooking it, so it had a weird texture, but a good flavor. We enjoyed the massaman then did the mango sticky rice. Our instructor made it for us, and we just watched, but it was still interesting to learn about. The sticky rice with mango was amazing, as always. They were generous with the rice and mango, which was great. It was a great end to our aonong cooking class.
