I like that the German soldiers who have the night vision scopes also have the big goofy backpacks for the batteries. It's a nice little touch of realism that you don't always see in video games. e: Although I guess Paddy doesn't need the batteries for some reason. Must just run on his general aura of manly prowess when he has it.

@@TheRedRaven_ This is a video game series where the main character "sneak" in a German base and one way or another kills Hitler. It is not supposed to be 100% real, David just wanted to appreciate the small touches of realism. A characters skin complexion and supposed origin does not matter.

Hey BigMooney just letting you know the rifle at 43:57 is the fusil automatique modèle 1918 which is an upgrade of the 1917 version of this rifle. The main differences are that the barrel is shorter and I think there was something changed with the way it was made to conserve time and resources but I can’t remember. Last I checked they never came with scopes or saw much use during ww2 but it’s still kinda cool to see in a game.

I think Actual Scottish Woman's lines are so weird mainly because of the monotone way she delivers all of her lines, as if she's trying to compete with ̶K̶a̶r̶l̶'̶s̶ Paddy Strongjaw's "aloof badass" voice. Like, I know these games have never focused all that hard on the story or advanced VA work, but dear God could the Voice Director have done a mildly better job than this?

These levels look to be huge! (love it!) I have to say, Paddy Strongjaw is my favorite not-so-covert covert agent. Very glad to see him out terrorizing the enemy in this game. I'm looking forward to one day seeing a play through where you have a "scrote counter" rolling in a corner of the screen. edit: Yes, the fuhrer's birthday was 4-20. One of the many, many reasons I maintain that "April is an evil month".

You get the optional objectives by finding intel. Also you’ll find the anti tank rifle in the next few levels so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to use it.

That Ratte collectible was the big weapon for the 3rd game. It left the factory because paddy himself blew it up. Also how you said it wrong is pronounced soy ya. If you play the 3rd game you'll understand what I mean

There is something up with the collision on the floor and objects when people are killed, and sometimes they go through and are able to summon the power beyond the grave to hurt you. Wait for the bodies to stop wriggling and kicking up that weird dust/smoke before you look for stuff. I grabbed a bloke around a corner, dragged him inside the wall to kill him, and came back with a vengeance and killed me…

I know I'm a bit late but here's a trick you can use. Not a game changer but pretty convenient. If you shoot a few rounds (of any gun/rifle/smg), you can swap to Any other type of ammo, let the reload animation start and switch back to what you were using and you will reload without wasting the clip.

Hey Mooney love your vids and love seeing a fellow scot on RU-vid. I’ve started to hold these sniper elite vids up as the highlights of your channel along side Hitman. In case you didn’t know the note you found about a General Valen and the silly massive tank, is a real tank they tried to build (they failed) and the prototype in Africa is a reference to Sniper Elite 3!

Resident gun person to explain the RSC 1918! The RSC 1918 was a modernization and improvement of the already interesting RSC 1917. It was made to be more robust, shorter, and use a non-proprietary clip (not a magazine). I wont go super in depth, as Forgotten Weapons has a video on it that can explain it FAR better than i can, but super neat rifle that was made too late to see service in the Trenches of WW1, and too my knowledge they never saw use in WWII either. They did interestingly see use in the Rif War in the 20's though, and were pretty well liked from those who did use them.

RSC 1918 was a goofy Frenchified answer to the Mannlicher M1893. I think it was also one of the first widely available semi auto rifles.

The rsc was an experimental French rifle tested and introduced near the end of the war. It used the same type as the magazine as the French LMG the Chauchat. Unfortunately it was introduced to lately into the war to be effective. Or even tested enough to k ow if it was effective.

@@Charles_Anthony I'm not one for defending wokeness for the sake of it but you do realise that SOE used blacks as well as whites and that France had a large enough black population that it didn't stick out overly much to have one or two around. (look up the boxer who De Gaulle honoured for example who ran a nightclub in paris and gathered intel for the allies.) as for the Scottish accent the origib of black english accents come from the estates they were at and a LOT of Jamaica was owned by Scots at one point so it isn't that off to have One black face in SOE through the course of the 5 games. similarly one or two homosexuality over the course of 5 games wouldn't be outside of what SOE actually was and a well written character that has a decent skillet is better than ram it in everywhere by FAR.
