Those rockets on the end of the anti tank guns were a real last ditch attempt to find uses for small anti-tank guns which were no longer effective against late war heavy Russian tanks.

So there was actually a 20 round magazine for the G.98 (i'm unsure if it ever really was put on the k variant since it didn't exist until 1939), but it was developed in WW1 and called a trench mag.

the tanks are fairly easy to kill in this game if you know their weakpoints. The back of the tank has those exhaust pipes, if you shoot them with AP ammo, it will reveal the engine which is between the center of the pipes. A few shots of AP ammo in the engine takes it down

12:10 that's a Stielgranate 41, a Panzerfaust like shaped charge launched from a 37mm PaK anti-tank gun. Since the 37mm became obsolete pretty quickly, they developed these HEAT warheads to increase the penetration

Nice to wake up to a great BigM video. Love your stuff man, and I love how you play the game. Always pushing forward and not pussyfooting around like some of the other people I've seen (just for some of the special kills you missed in past levels.) Extended bolt action rifle magazines were common in WW1 and some appeared in WW2. They were often referred to as "Trench Mags" and could hold up to 20-30 rounds each

Rabbits foots were always a sign of good luck. Back in the 80s/90s I had one as a kid. They were always sold as souvenirs n such. I doubt they hundred the rabbit for the foot specifically now THAT would be cruel lol. Like a chop and release program lol. Rabbits hopping around with crutches.

Nice. Love this damn game. Started playing it years ago from your Sniper Elite 4 videos. You have to do the kill everyone challenge contract for Ambrose Island Hitman. A bit glitchy though, my playthrough took almost 40 minutes. You are the master at that I can't believe you couldn't do it quicker. Thanks for all the videos.

The white line in the top of your scope, is your wind correction indicator, line your targets up vertically with it for more accuracy

Hey bigmooney i don't know if you know this already but the weapons got a audio range and suppressor make it quieter but is still load (For example if you have the G43 unsuppressed enemies from 150 to 160 meters can hear it but if the weapon is suppressed it will make that range go from 150 meters to 100 to 50 meters) Basically the Germans can hear the weapon based on the audio range EDIT:also if your on your weapon wheel if you look at the top left of the screen you will see what you picked up around the map it won't appear until you pick up a satchel charge or crowbar or keys it will be there k

Bro you missed the panzerfoust at the workbench right by the tank😢 You can also use armor piercing rounds to open up doors that are locked from the other side. That was the other workbench.

20 round mags did actually exist for the Kar98k. Well, they were built for the Gewehr 98 in ww1, but the k98 is just a shortened and improved take on that rifle, so the parts would absolutely still work

Would love to see a Kill everyone on the new Landing Force mission, based on the film Guns Of Navarone. The map has amazing vibes and the new rifel makes it such a blast to snipe through given can snipe from about 20m safely without noise. I think BigMooney would really enjoy it

I'm only 5 minutes in, but for tanks, gotta shoot the rear engine armor out with AP rounds to expose it, then you can shoot the engine and disable it. As far as destroying it... IDK. The tank I encountered on the island (Guarney or whatever; sorry French people) disappeared/despawned after I left the area lol.

I'm not even sure how you're supposed to do a "non-lethal assault" (re: score screen) when all you get is like 20 rounds of non-lethal ammo at the start of the level. Stealth / non-lethal, yeah, but Quadrant II is a mystery.

Actually the Germans were planning to destroy the Eifel tower once it became obvious that France couldnt be held, but the commander in charge of the garrison in Paris didnt follow through

The magazine on the Kar 98 did exist. But it was only, seen in the First World War.

I still don't understand the bulletcams in Sniper Elite 5. They were so much more gruesome in Sniper Elite 4 because you could see the bones getting destroyed, while in the 5th game I don't see that at all. I just see blood and bone particles flying out from behind the bullet.

I really enjoyed this game, but watching someone else play it I see all the bugs and nuisances that I overlooked because I was having a great time...
