This video demonstrates how to setup the reputation policy to deny IP addresses, usernames, or both when a threshold is met for failed login attempts. Documentation: goauthentik.io/docs/policies/...
Authentik is an extraordinary authentication system, but if it weren't for your videos, many users like me would hardly know how to fully exploit its potential. You are great!
Keep up the good work. No one else is covering Authentik in this manner and its a great help. Maybe do a setup video with Traefik instead of Proxy Manager please
Coop, could you do a video on how one could go about making a guest login that bypasses 2fa requirements? I'm struggling to figure out how to set up authentik in a way that lets me give a guest credentials to log into a limited user account on a specific app.
...you can create a guest group, create a guest user and assign them to that group. Then just allow/restrict what you will for a guest with that group. As far as bypass, you can maybe apply aspects of this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QS7gs3TbzsQ.html
Great videos, I have been beefing up my Authentik install with each video! Would it be possible to use Google/Github or other social login in Authentik?
Hi @@cooptonian many thanks for those useful videos, it greatly complement the Authentik website which is a bit frugal in explanations and settings. One remark and question related to timeout: I just set it up yesterday, with timeout "30" and this morning, the blocked IP / username was not cleared. What is the timeout value: hours ? days ? Is there anything to do to activate a specific system task as a periodic service? Thanks
