Bill German, author of "Under Their Thumb: How a Nice Boy from Brooklyn Got Mixed Up with the Rolling Stones (and Lived to Tell About It)," stops by the studio to talk about his experiences with the Stones.
German met the band while he was a teenager, shortly after launching his Stones-only magazine, "Beggars Banquet." The publication lasted for seventeen years, during which time he traveled the world with the Stones, stayed at their homes, and witnessed their recording sessions.

Bill good to see you resuscitated again after all these years ;-) Two things: back in the seventies it's true that casually bumping into Mick or Keith in NYC was fairly common; Keith came bouncing by me as I sat at a traffic light on Queens Blvd. Probably meeting one of the local "connections" I used to see hanging around Juniper Valley Park in those days… Oh but the comment here about keeping a Rolling Stones secret comparing it to hiding Anne Frank? Kinda in poor taste. Those were horrific times as you well understand. It's difficult to fathom these things so light comparison to heavy reality really should be avoided, doncha think?
