This home was deserted and nature was taking its toll. I spoke with the neighbor right across the street to get some more info. They told me that it was abandoned and homeless people and stray animals were living in it for the longest time. Finally, it was boarded up and left to rot.

@@bettyannemiller9081 And the sidewalks are the most important part for others in the area. Wheelchairs/mobility chairs, strollers, grocery carts... Followed very closely by reducing habitats for nuisance animals (rats, etc.) and disease-carrying insects (ticks, fleas...)

That was a GRAND house on a huge piece of property. From what I'm learning, many homes are more than salvageable and can be saved. Of course having a budget to do it helps. But wow! What a wonderful transformation you wrought -- so much hard work. Well done!

Any time you edge up the sidewalks you widen them a foot or two. Not only did you succeed in doing so with this property but you literally widen the street as well by at the least 3 feet in some places. Fabulous job! Revealing the hidden sidewalks added charm to this home. It would be a pleasure to see this home reopened & a family living there. I love the effort you faithfully do with each of your projects. Fantastic job as usual Spencer, I’m retired & I can still do the yard work but it’s taking longer the older I get. Started doing your methods of edging & trimming so the place looks SO MUCH better. Using a manual edger now but saving upfor a motorised one, they look to be a LOT easier!!

Two of my favorite before/after pics were #1 - the shot from the intersection at corner looking back at house seeing both directions of yard and #2 - the long shot of sidewalk looking back toward your truck from the electrical box. You are such a good person to do this. I hope these videos provide some good side income for you! I think that over time the amount of videos and views will add up. My wheelbarrow always had flat tires when I wanted to use it. I replaced those air filled tires with hard wheels. No more problems with flat tires!

I think what struck me the most about this video, Spence, is the large amount of hand laid bricks in the street. THAT is a lot of manual labor for such a small overall area.
