Welcome to "SB Mowing", where the joy of lawn care meets the heart of community service! Every week, I embark on a new adventure, mowing lawns for free in different neighborhoods. My mission? To bring smiles and relief to those who need it most - be it busy families, the elderly, veterans, neighbors, or anyone who could use a helping hand with their yard.

Spencer, I am so relieved to hear that you did not succumb to the poison ivy rash!! [Now in my nagging mother's voice] I want you to ALWAYS WEAR long sleeves and gloves. Peace out! ✌🏽
Thanks to your vids, I was able to identify poison ivy in my yard while working in it yesterday. It’s been yrs since I’d seen a picture of it & I’ve never knowingly seen it in person. Thankfully, just the night before I had watched one of your vids that showed it. I verified with a plant ID app. Now to get rid of it!!! Thanks again!
Some who expect poison ivy? Take water in bucket or such, cloths, wash up right at their vehicles. Then get in and drive home. Supposedly you have 15 minute exposure, before the oil ceaps into skin, to get it scrubbed. And supposedly even straight water will do, IF the cloth is used vigorously! It takes up the oils. Just an idea to help you. Maybe lessen you rashes? Obviously tools, gloves, clothes etc can hold onto it too. I was happy to hear this, because i have a trace of PI in my property Up at the school turned Public Hall and grounds? Masses of PI everywhere!!! Masses in the field behind also! Do our dogs gonto that park.. .and they sleep in our house! Lol See the chain? Knowing a good scrub can handle it, is awesome!
Thank you so much for not mowing that beautiful peony! Sparing certain plants really means so much to the gardeners who enjoy your videos. The first video of yours that had me hit the subscribe button was one where you identified a particular tree in a backyard and mentioned its benefits. That’s when I knew I was in the right place! Thanks for your dedication!
Question on poison ivy, is there any safe way of getting rid of it? Like in spring when it first appears? Just curious 🙃 great improvement to that neighborhood BTW 👍🏻
Have you considered a weed torch for those cracks in the concrete? $300 for an unlock sounds expensive as heck. Also, I would have expected a locksmith to have a set of bump keys so they don't have to bend the heck out of your door. The grass and root layer from the concrete pad was so thick you could have sold it as sod.
Im glad you left the pink flowers ( Peonies? ) . Maybe they were special to the man who lived there. I share your Poison Ivy allergy. No fun! You did a super job Thanks.
Why is it I can grab some snacks and watch your videos back to back, like I'm watching a movie, but when my yard man comes he annoys the beejeezers out of me 😊
Never sacrifice your health Spencer. Your future kids and wife will thank you, and we as viewers certainly don't expect that. You can do many more good deeds by keeping your health!
Have you ever looked into getting some of those one-time use, disposable hazmat suits? The people at my work that deal with septic disposal as well as my medic on contagious calls, use those all the time. They are relatively cheap, thin, paper like material. So not too hot or hard to move around in. Then after you’re done, you just take it off, throw it in the trash and you’re good to go.
That sweet little rose bush just makes me so sad. Next time for your poison ivy try taping your gloves to your sleeves, like they do with hasmat suits. Dawn is the best cleaner for everything! Great job on this cute little smelly house.
Criticisms: 1) Should have taken down that small evergreen tree in the front yard. 2) Should have pruned that little row of small trees/growth along the driveway that separates the property from neighbor. 3) Weed whacking is getting sloppy. 4) Could have done more in the backyard.
Yuk, Poison Ivy! If that was spreading in a yard next door, I would be freaking out and complaining for sure. Plenty of bad enough other things (stickers and lawn killing weeds including things that make animals sick too) as it has ever been on the increase. Folks who let cats wander (or dogs) come home with THAT on their fur! Many folks would never even suspect that such things were growing in their town or city lots, maybe think to watch out walking in natural parks. If I knew it was abandoned AND IF I could even financially manage the purchase, I'd be over there spraying with Weed-B-Gone, or whatever promises to put an end to its infiltration. Glad you have a plan of action and are young enough to follow through and share your knowledge. Thanks Spencer.
