Great video. Braylee is so sweet when she requested what she want to do. Continue on your road on getting the silver play button along with interviewing with Chris ULMER of SBSK.
This is so beautiful 2 see Braylee continue 2 flourishes and grow! She is a lovely individual, and I'm glad that she was able 2 enjoy herself on the trip. I'm really proud of Braylee 2 to see her get better with speech communication thanks to her Ipad, and I'm really excited to see how far she'll go from here. Keep doing what you do as a family!
Sometimes I worry bout my son just a tensie tiny bit lol but I watch some of your videos and it makes me feel better. She's very special and you guys should be proud, you're awesome parents dude 💪🙏
Love seeing her grow ! She is such a happy sweet soul. I’m so happy to see that while you work on and encourage verbal communication, you don’t take her AAC device away. I have seen some people telling others that if they let their child “rely” on the talker then they won’t speak verbally 🙄🙄 which you of course know is ridiculous, I feel so bad for those kids. My doctor said any and all forms of communication are good! I love Cane’s French fries! My daughter worked there as her first summer job and I may have eaten a lot of French fries…..more than normal 😂😂 I am terrified of spiders BUT as big as that sucker was, nothing compared to what happened when I moved into my house last year. The spider JUMPED at me. Apparently it’s a local bug that’s not harmful but when you’re trying to go to the bathroom is very alarming 😧😧 we haven’t had them back this year so hopefully they will stay away. My daughter and her husband will come and get a bug and take it outside which was nice when they lived with me because one from me shriek and one of them was there with a paper plate to escort it out 😂
I can't believe how much that mis-information spreads. I have never heard or seen any evidence of AAC devices causing vocal speech to not happen. I have only seen the opposite. AAC's definitely promote speaking. And yes, any communication is good communication. Maybe I need to make a new video about it.
I have really enjoyed watching you guys on your family trips. I've never been to your neck of the woods so have enjoyed seeing where you are from and also love watching Braylee initiate telling you guys what she would like to do. I also watched your 3 things in 1 day video and I absolutely adored the set up you did for her for making her own slime video! That was awesome and I was touched by her reaction. She made her own slime just like a pro!
The spider was probably female, the females are the big ones and the males are the tiny ones. The scream was definitely worth the wait. Braylee is so amazing and so beautiful
Visual stims may include repetitive behaviors such as staring or gazing at objects. An example For B, she pulls apart Crayola Model Magic repeatedly and stairs at it closely.
Is it just me or when (3:56) Dave asks "Braylee, what do you want?" Doesn't she answer "What? Water." She even seems a little miffed that she wasn't understood? Might just be MY ears. Anyway, some of the visuals on these videos are really artful! Thanks for sharing.
I really like the longer hair on you David! For fast food, my favourite fries are Burger King It's St. Croix. Pronounced Crwah in French (with a rolled "r"). Most English-speaking people say Croy I can handle many spiders, but my issue with ones that big is how fast they move & how unpredictable they are
Very good job saying a phrase like "French fries" and a word like "playground" verbally without her "talker". Meaningful progress right there. Maybe she won't need that in the future? Would be nice to see if that were to ever happen...
We will always have her talker around just because some situations may be more difficult for communication and we always want her to have the opportunity! Communication is more important overall than just verbal to us 🙂
