Mama: “Do you have anything else to say, Craig?” Craig: “You’re my dear, old dad!” My heart ❤❤ such sweet memories between a father and son for Father’s Day. We need more accepting people in this world when it comes to the challenges some of us face on a daily basis. Whether that be autism or anything else that affects our day to day life. Craig’s parents go above and beyond!! What wonderful examples of kind hearts, unconditional love, patience and their constant commitment to doing whatever they can to make Craig’s life as happy and meaningful as possible. I know he feels that love!! ❤️ Great job mom and dad, please keep the videos coming, they always make me smile. 😊😊
I love these talks with you and Joe... You all are giving a lot of advice, and tools that we can use with our special loved ones... Thank you for all that you do 😊
I really like how you as parents try to help Craig through melt downs etc. and always want to learn new things to help him! You seem so patient but as you probably will says there days that you are not! Craig is so bless to have both! ❤😊
Since Craig likes to read, I highly suggest the book, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. It's the same story as The Three Little Pigs, but it's told from the Wolfs point of view. It's so funny. When I was a substitute teacher, I must have read that book 1000 times, no joke. The kids loved it, and asked me to read it over and over. It got to the point where I could "read" the book, word for word, without looking at at the pages.
I found this channel about a week ago and have been binge watching your videos. You have a very lovely family. I love learning about Autism. I have a friend with an Autistic child. I feel like I have learned quite a bit about Autism from this channel and hope to incorporate that knowledge when interacting with my friends child. Thank you so much for sharing your family and knowledge.
I love all these new videos you guys are making! Thank you for sharing. I have a daughter and son who are autistic. My daughter has always been very verbal and skilled in language. My son is 3 and doesn’t speak (yet), and so it’s very interesting to see how older autistic adults are and hear similarities from his childhood.
Happy belated Father’s Day!! I love the support you show for each other and for your family even though times can be rough, your love for each other and your family stand strong!!!
I want to give both you as parents kudos for how you as a couple are handling the challenges in your family. Mine my mom tried to get me help as a young child but my dad was convinced I was "fine". So I finally got to a point in my adulthood that I realized something was going on with me and finally got tested and diagnosed with autism around late 30s.
Has your diagnosis made you feel any differently, or did it help you understand yourself in a more positive way? This is the only channel/community in which I actually read other people's comments and learn so much from others. It's also so nice to see positivity and support in everyone's comment❤
@user-dp5gd6tv9q two of my sons have ASD, my oldest is high functioning or formally known as Aspergers, he got his diagnosis at 16, he had other learning difficulties and was some what of a question mark and although assessed very young they missed it for lack of red flags, he now feels that last piece of the puzzle is finally found and he can understand himself much better with a diagnosis. There is "reason" behind the quirks and it brings answers to to the question "why".
I Enjoy your candor while discussing your journey. It almost feels to me...like a mini therapy session for you. If it is...that is Awesome all the way around. I love the cooking with Craig segment...and the sibling talk. Be Blessed And Safe!!
Thank you for sharing your Father's Day. What a nice time that was. And a very fun book you read Craig. I love story time very much. You made my day very special.
🎊 🎉 Congratulations 🎊 🎉 On the 60k subscribers. I can remember when you all had less than 2k and that was only a couple of months ago. Thank you for being of service to those families who have children with Autism. By the way please ask God to take erase all those negative messages. I ask Him all the time and He does it for me. I will also pray for a hedge of protection for your house, Craig’s heart and mind. Remember that we are only promised the moment we are in. ❤to your entire family.
Can you talk about life during Covid on a video? How it was during that time with Craig and family. Was he willing to wear a mask etc I know some people with disabilities had issues wearing them. How he dealt with not being able to go certain places and having to stay at home more? I know he loves eating out and going to stores etc. thanks!!
What a great job you guys have done raising your children kudos for being active participants in your kids lives it’s obvious you worked hard at raising your children !!!!! The world needs more people like you and your family !!!!👌
Nancy, thanks for this amazing video... The belly laugh that Craig had when talking with Joe about Yogi Bear cartoons made me bust out laughing. The joyful moments in your home are precious. P.S. Im going to try your Stromboli recipe this weekend. Looks delicious!
Great job Craig -- His pouring and adding of ingredients was more orderly and clean than my own kitchen escapades by leaps and bounds!! Chef Boyard-Craig I say!
Love yalls outlook and attitude about absolutely everything, it really reminds me of my grandma and her mom so, stong never judged and were always positive no matter the situation ❤
It is so important to ask what he is feeling and let him know it's ok to feel that. When you go into a panic he may feel like his feelings are bad or wrong. You two are awesome parents.
My autistic son, who is 37 now, has always been extra warm. I remember when we lived in NY when he was young, he always wanted to wear, even in winter, sleeveless shirt and athletic shorts.
Oh gosh, jeans have become so much more comfortable since the 90ies! Especially the cheaper ones had really thick, overlapping seams in the crotch region. And I hated them. Now, as an adult I cut out all labels, don't wear tight clothing and absolutely have clothes for 'at home'. Clothes that are barely suitable for taking the trash out. But it feels so good not to have to deal with that sensory input. I ditched wearing bras altogether. Which was the biggest game changer ever.
Every day I learn some thing new about your experiences . I can now see clearly about clothing issues. The fabric, the feel& touch and comfortable wearing loose fitting outfits. Craig always looks great 👍🏻! Benett has a a beautiful big smile and a funny sense of humor. Happy belated Father’s and girl grandpa day! Going to rewatch and write down the recipe for the Stromboli and soup. Looked yummy yummy 😋. I am making toasted English muffins and put pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni then pop in into the oven. I don’t think I am going to enjoy it after seeing delicious dish, seriously! Love to all and keep on keeping on!
It's always great seeing parents of children with autism taking a proactive approach to their child's condition. Autism wasn't really known about when I was growing up and had a pretty rough upbringing. My parents weren't very patient with me. If you guys ever feel overwhelmed, or feel that you've made mistakes or aren't doing something right, just know that over all, you guys are doing an absolutely wonderful job raising Craig. You guys are great parents and you are all very lucky to have each other.
Love your channel…when I first started watching I was recovering from a total Thyroidectomy after the doctors found cancer. Craig and his fam (you guys😊) have kept my sprits up during this time…so thank you so much for your story and sharing your beautiful fam. Also, I have been recently diagnosed with Adult ADHD and I started to use the term neurotypical for those without a psychological disorder and neurodivergent for ppl like me and those who have superpowers like Craig. So feel free to use those terms if you want…I know we used them in the counseling and therapy field. 😊
my boy is 12 yrs old. he and craig have alot of similarities. hes so innocent and kind. i cant imagine a life without him we love him so much. thank you for sharing your experiences with craig. he comes from a loving family as we can see. im excited for our journey with joaquin. may God continue to Bless you all. and thank you for spreading awareness!!❤😢
Yall are such a kind, beautiful family. May Jesus bless you guys til HE returns home to collect his children. I look forward to meeting yall one day. You folks are more inspirational than you realize. Keep it up Craig! Great job buddy!!!
Hi you guys, I smile every time I see your videos….it reminds me so much of my kids….I worked with autistic children, teens and young adults for over 36 yrs, and just retired. Pertaining to clothing what would happen with some of the kids is not wanting to change clothing. So the parents would find identical clothing. Sometimes it’s impossible, it’s to get your child to be pro active and have a picto schedule, to teach them to wash their own clothes, and of course hygiene as part of the schedule. We would also have a cooking activity, I can’t tell you how many times I would explain to the parents how important to give their child the opportunity to cook for themselves…. And I mean making a sandwich, toasting, and progressively making other things (boiling etc…). The students loved teaching others….or as if we were being taped for a show….make it fun. Give them the independence, at whatever level of functioning they’re at! Waving @ Craig and family 👋🤗🇨🇦
My son is 5 and autistic and must ALWAYS have clothes on. Long sleeves, preferably jeans and knee socks! Even in the summer! And he hates when anyone has their sleeves rolled up or jacket 3/4 zipped up..he immediately goes to pull down their sleeves and zip up their jacket. It's summer so my newphews rip their shirts off and run around, my son gets upset and gets in the dresser to find shirts to throw at them. He wants everyone fully dressed 🤷 Bennett is hilarious i love how he describes the chip 😂
The Italiano soup looks delicious and like something my whole family would eat! Would it be possible for you to share the recipe? I wondered what size jars of Ragu you used, if that was minestrone soup (i think so?) and also if you have any cooking time guidelines? Thank you so much! 👍🏻👍🏻, 5 ⭐, & a seal of approval for Chef Craig!
Next time you make stromboli put melted butter on the top then put Parmesan cheese an Italian seasoning then bake I worked in a pizza shop an that's what we did it was amazing the more Parmesan on top the better you can even put mozzarella on top half way through the cooking
Watching Craig helps my anxiety and a few other issues i got. I know that "overwhelmed" feeling. Plus im with him on the walking around in just underwear too......why cant we all be homer Simpson in our own home ?? 😂😂. Good luck craig 🇮🇪✌
