I haven't seen much of this channel yet, but as a (late diagnosed autistic) sibling of a verbal autistic brother needing high-support, it brings me joy to see how much y'all try to compromise and meet his communication style, rather than brute-forcing him to learn your own. This is beautiful and is the absolute essence of what family should be - understanding each person both as an individual and as part of the family instead of someone that needs to be 'fixed.''
My oldest grandson is nonverbal and this channel gives me so much inspiration......Gabe is amazing.....my grandsons name is Kai and he's four.....you give me insight into what to expect and how to try to communicate with him.....my grandson loves when I hug him and tickle him......I love this channel.....thank you so much...bye Gabe ♥️
My grandson is also nonverbal. He has that same tablet in the video. It definitely helps with communication. My daughter and her ex got him enrolled in a school(public schools were awful here) that deals strictly with autism, and he has flourished. He's picked up sign language. And I've even caught him trying to talk; we were playing around and he said hold my hand as he was reaching his hand to me. It wasn't clear, but it's very promising that one day he will be able to talk. I'd recommend doing anything you can to try to get him into some kind of program or school like that. I know in my state, it's covered by medicaid.
My grandson was completely nonverbal at 4, he's now 5.5 and after a winter with his many cousins visiting at his mom's house, he is now speaking a few words and signing his needs to us! Keep working with your little one!

Wonderful ! my sons non verbal autistic and I’ve even had dreams when I’ve heard him talk to me “ dad I’m ok” , “dad I’m happy “and “dad I love you “ then waking up in tears unable to handle the reality of how cruel autism is mainly for the individual but also for the loved ones who suffer ever day never knowing something as simple as “ are you ok “ “do you hurt “ do you know I’m here forever and thank the heavens for the wonder of technology Looking down your noses because a tablet is almost our only way of ever hearing your voice ,your thought ,and your decision because it’s a path you’ll never walk
My cousins are autistic and were non verbal for a long time now they can talk and communicate a bit with the help of speech therapy and what amazes me about them was that they sung before they could speak and they’d play that same song over and over again.

My son is autistic and loved the story of "Jackie Draper" movie and song "puff the magic dragon" he insisted we play it over and over. My son is a curly head red head like Jackie Draper" the video played everyday a few times a day lol it's a beautiful story about a boy who found his voice. My son had no issues with speech, IQ above average and now is a full artist, sketching, creating and selling his art online. His talent is Pixar/Disney oriented but he also has his own characters. Especially horror which he has made many monster masks. He was thrilled to meet is idol Tom Seveney i believe that's his name. We traveled and surprised him at the school of art and horror. Waited in line for the Halloween tour, only to be surprised by Tom he recived a handshake, a autograph and words of encouragement. He still brings it up today, how happy he was and Tom told him you have the gift, use it. Well, he's now a tattoo artist, and also sells his own T-shirts online. Huge hit! Autism is something you need to accept as a parent and pray their talent is acknowledged. Today, my son has two children, and an incredible artist, son etc... sometimes we have to redirect his intrusive thoughts, he's finally at peace with his diagnosis and although he still bellers out, or has ticks, he's taught us humor. He's so comical and well aware lol ❤🙃🙏🏼

I've so quickly fallen in love with a total stranger! (Please don't take that in a weird way.... I'm a mother. Not a creep-o). There's just something so inviting about this young man. I see him and wish him such good and beautiful things in life. I think he's being SO WELL taken care of and encouraged and treated in such a way that allows him to believe that he's capable of ANYTHING! I just dearly love and respect the genuine humans and experiences he's given. It's such a beautiful thing! I send my love and wish Gabe, (and his family, friends and caretakers), nothing but great love and all good things! Thank you for sharing videos of him and his daily life and activities. They make my heart so incredibly warm and full. Go Gabe! You've been born into the most perfect family! (Not many humans are so blessed. I'm truly grateful that he is). I believe his purpose is great..... to teach us ALL how to be REAL and inspire compassion and kindness. He's doing a magnificent job! Doesn't hurt that we can clearly see that his soul is pure and beautiful! My 13 year old son and I love to watch his videos. (My boy is known and loved in his school for being true buddies and a big helper with all of the special needs kids. He has been participating and playing with those sweet kiddos since he started preschool. He says he thinks that his life's calling is to turn that interest and genuine love into a career someday. And I think he's absolutely right. It's always been so easy and natural, his ability to connect and form truly personal and individual relationships. Nothing makes his eyes light up like his friends do. Those friends! He used to get upset that he was teased by other kids for choosing to spend his free time with them and it bothered him. Not that HE was made fun of..... but because anyone could be so cold and apathetic. Now, he simply says, "their loss.... these are AWESOME KIDS"). These videos make us both smile. **My boy says to tell you that he's got great taste in music, by the way**. ❤ I just want to thank you for being so open and sharing your gift with the world. YEEESS! WIN! And **great** music choices across the board. You guys have IMPECCABLE musical tastes across generations of popular to obscure creators/musicians. Question: Do you listen to any classical at all? Chopin? Tchaikovsky? Mozart's Eine Kleine Nacht Muzik is a personal fave. As are Swan Lake & The Nutcracker Suite (Tchaikovsky, of course.) Chopin' Nocturnes can be a little dirge-y, & broody, but sometimes they're JUST what the soul craves... ANY music is good music, imo. It's the most universal language we have at our disposal & can elicit the most wonderous soul releases. I love that Gabe has it at his disposal at any moment. It's such a healing and magical tool. 💯❤
Wow his speech is picking up!!!My daughter is technically non verbal too, but she sounds like a toddler's words when she does get words out. My point is, I can hear individual words from him.. he says yes, music, please, a couple things I can't quite decipher, as well as humming in acknowledgement, and trying to say imagine dragons at the end ❤❤❤ I hope he uses his device more to make it easier for everyone!!!
What a sweetheart he is. When you asked Alexa to play Imagine Dragons my Alexa said "Shuffling songs by IDs" Music is a wonderful comfort for all things emotional. Love you Gabe ❤❤
He's such a sweet & gentle soul. I gave birth to 6 boys. My 3rd was diagnosed at 15 yrs w/Asperger's. High functioning...We learned so much. And my 5th son has potential Marfan Syndrome & he hasn't been medically diagnosed with autism but he does certainly have many traits that #3 son had. And now number#3 has 2 sons. The oldest hasn't been diagnosed he's 7 but we believe he is ADHD. I would say moderately. Right now he is manageable. The whole family is very educated in this stuff . It ain't easy. Kudos to you momma. Y'all done a great job imo. ☺️💚
Having been blessed with experience with nonverbals , Gabe is so well-adjusted and advanced and a lot of it has to do with great parenting, and he also seems to put in the effort needed to help him grow, expand and project for lack of better words. His face tells the story of how happy and content he is. And the technology we have today is great and there is leaps and bounds in communication devices. I'm sure it's going to be amazing to see what he becomes in the future. He's probably going to help and encourage a lot of other younger people with similar gifts! I truly believe autism is a gift, it is certainly not a distraction in life, it's an addition. The gears inside of his head are turning at such a high rate that if you could tap into it? it's going to be amazing what you will find.

He reminds me of my 3yr old grandson, also nonverbal. I am fortunate to live close now but I worry I won't be so close when he is older. My daughter is autistic as well, but very verbal lol
