@Mikey Cooper Napster basically ''stole'' musicians money by providing their music for free without their consent, which is what Spotify is the straight opposite of. Basically, supporting Napster is supporting crime. Lars got hate from the crime supporters but love and respect from anyone who knows what it's all about. Musicians doesn't earn their rightfully pay from pirated/free (without their consent) music

@@andrewgraham7659 I first off saw the short version of mission to Lars. That sealed the deal. When I had enough internet GBs to chew up I watched the full version of Mission to Lars. Its so worth watching. I'm pretty sure the Spicer family didn't put the documentary in any format for retail selling. Bit of a shame, really. If they did do it then a small % of retail sales aid the funding for fragile X syndrome or conditions on the spectrum. Just some food for thought 😳
@andrewgraham7659

@@rosiewhitfield123 I live with aspergers, so I know the isolation and the frequent changes of mood. It is something my family doesn't understand. All of the organisations I know of that provide support to ASD people are volunteers. Maybe it could been marketed and the funds put into research. But I don't think that is what the family would have wanted. Maybe a festival of some sort could be arranged, since the metal scene in the UK is healthy, and the bands are frequently playing other festivals. There are so many ways that we can help. Maybe Metalica could be the first headline act.

@@andrewgraham7659 oh man you know a plenty about what I said and know about invisible conditions. I'm thinking you know what Metallica has a foundation called "All within My Hands (AWMH foundation) and if you contacted the foundation directly or through their management called Q Prime a benefit concert could became a reality. If you ain't wanting to I'd sure approach them and lay this idea at their laps, eyes and ears. I got nothing to lose at all. Be so worth the concept I believe.

Me as a Metallica fan and headbanger with autism myself I play drums in a death metal band and Lars is definitely one of my influences along with so many other drummers in the thrash and death metal genre and been playing drums for 5 years and started at age 13 now 18 and Jen ledger and Lori from skillet were my early influences but then quarantine happened and somewhere months before lockdown and late 2019 freshman year of high school I got into Metallica and Megadeth then slayer then the thrash metal genre outside of the big 4 bay area and Canadian band razor and the German thrashers but anyways playing Lars Ulrich songs on drums is fun especially battery and blackened are my favorites with the double bass blast beats

You know I have to be honest I have never been much of a Lars guy. Love Metallica but never thought high of Lars as a drummer and honestly seemed like a douche... But u know I have no problem admitting I was wrong and misjudged his character. I thought that' was truly awesome man he spent time with the young man and actually kept asking him to do this and do that and genuinely enjoyed himself he did not shake toms hand take a picture and screw like many celebs do so just thought I would put that out there... Lars I apologize and that was an awesome thing u did wish more would follow ur lead. 30 mins spent with someone could literally change their life and remember it forever

I have an older sibling high on the spectrum. For most of my 40 years breathing I've sure had a second row seat into her life. Thabks for sharing that. I have only one friend whose son has HFA. I, myself, have Compunded Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. I rarely leave the house, and lights and noise make things rough. I can tap in to times when it wasn't so bad and can fake it for short periods of high intensity moments. Tom truly triumphed. I swear he's standing taller and smiling wider during the end credits when he can appreciate that whole journey without the stress. Cheers to all those challenging their adversity.

Boy that was a bumpy ride on the feels train, but to see Tom's utter joy at the end made the whole ride worth it! I think they all learned a lot as a family on this trip. Brilliant thinking visiting the Fragile X specialist...she gave them the key to opening Tom's inner box. Lars is a class act...many would have the urge to treat Tom like a child, but Lars did the perfectly right thing by treating him as just another fan. I have huge respect for this man.

I've been disable since i was born i found metal music when i was 9 years old... been to concerts the feeling you get meeting them etc its amazing. I can understand freaking out on things even going to concerts you gotta push your anextly back of your head and go for it. Also you should wear earplugs if your going to big concerts like that.

I don't even want to hear because he is Austistic or Fragile X...I have been raising my Autistic grandson since birth. No easy challenge for my age but it has been the most rewarding challenge of my life! He is beautiful, amazing, funny and the kindest and most loving personal I have ever had the honor to know and I am so proud he is mine! I love him more than words can express and would never, ever allow someone else the beauty of raising him! So very rewarding!

Because he is an adult.....pretty simple really...can't be babied all his life...he is slow in speech but not an invalid. Basically can do everything for himself within reason hence the care home, which provides all his needs including friendships and a workplace.In other words, he is LIVING life the same as all "normal" people, Tom's a winner I would think.

That was so beautiful....What a lovely story of love and respect, it's rare people live their dreams or meet the people they look up too so this story is so Amazing on a lot of levels....I have to say It made me shed a tear or two too see Tom finally meet his idol, Lars was such a lovely guy and really looked as if he enjoyed meeting Tom, something Tom and his family will probably never forget, thank you for sharing this story, and thanks to a loving supporting family that helped their brother live his dream and meet his his idol.....much love too them all 😘💗💗💗

I don’t know but the last half an hour had me in tears. Lars was soooo lovely. The sister was just like me. The guilt of having a disabled sibling is crushing. I’m very glad you had this time together🖤

I have a disabled sibling myself and I sure can meet you in the middle with guilt you have for having a disabled sibling. Mine is 7 years older than I am. I fall as the third child (4th child in pregnancy order)

Amazing doc. I've loved Metallica since I was ten years old and to see Tom's face when he met Lars made me cry. Then he meets Kerry king another huge idol of mine. The bit that set me Me off was when he met the rest of the band 😭😭😭😭

You know it's a skill to meet people like that-he is such a down to earth guy. Omg and it's like he never seems pressed for time to meet the fans-he's the best, one of a kind.

Many thanks to Kate for persevering & persuading Tom to fulfill his dream. Also to those behind the scenes in Anaheim who went out of their way to make the meeting happen.

"Country?" - No "Pop?" - No "Metal?" Yes. Metallica was the first band that i ever saw live on purpose. I had my doubts first. Thought the whole endeavor could even be meaningless. But this trip was good for the siblings and all the other people involved. And the sister was very cool, too. "You dont go to England?" Kerry King.
