I just bought Auto Borne paints and was curious about this, very informative video. Have you used these paints on a car? How do flames look with these water based paints. are the Candy's ok, I here the candy's fade fast. More vids please Ed Hubbs. Thanks.
I've been watching your stuff for years. I use Wicked Colors and Auto Air. I have yet to clear anything because I'm afraid of how to remove the wax/grease...what the hell can I use that will not pull the paint!! The water based stuff just pulls. Any help is appreciated! Nice work man.
angel85lx I finally decided to just go for it and bought some Rust-oleum wax and tar remover. It also removes grease of course. I have finished one plastic helmet and several metal panels that have been cleared with no issues. I tried Spray-Max water based wax/grease remover as well and that did the job without pulling or smearing any water based paint. Hope this helps! Oh, the spray-Max is in a spray can the Rust-oleum is not but can easily be put in a spray bottle for easy use.
Iappreciate the instructional part of the video but I wish you would have took a little more time to show the finished product at the end, that was a very quick glimpse.
