Manually numbering doors in Revit is boring.

For some reason toRoom ----> keys causes me to have the error lists are not supported. Is there a work around for this?

I just had to do this for work. I used an Ideate renumbering tool.

Thanks! Please make a video on how to extract pile coordinates (x ,y, and z) in the schedule all the coordinates should be from Plant reference point which is 1000/10000.

Room.Number not finding all rooms and List shows Some rooms as "null"

How do I assign A/B tags to rooms with two doors but only have the room number as door number on rooms with one door?

When I get to the Door.Rooms point, I am running into an issue where the fromRoom List and toRoom List are showing everything as "null". Any idea of how to fix this?

Thanks! Side note: If you flip the instance facing of the door after you have already placed it in the model, the To/From: Name/Number etc. parameters in Revit does not automatically update. Therefore you might get "incorrect" values running this script.

Users still have to ensure the To/From room values match what they need.

A lot of firms deal with this by forcing to/from reports to be fixed as reporting points so that they always report to the open side. Then a parameter is used to track if the door should reverse report (which the users can verify using a view filter highlighting all reversed reports).

@@jmqrsq enable reporting points in the family, add a project parameter of yes/no to track if flipped to/from or not, then use dynamo or similar means to set to room value or from room if the flip is set to yes (tick).

@@AussieBIMGuru Thanks. I will see if i can configure mine this way. I wasn't aware that things could report that they were mirrored or flipped. Is it possible to contact you separately from this place to ask a couple questions if needed?

There seems to be an issue for me when "Generating a unique number". Regardless if I set up the unique sequence per the video or the PDF, it ignores the second door in a room when renumbering. So, what should be A101-A and A101-B ends up being A101-A and 59. Both doors in this example have the same "To Room" value What am I missing?
