Hey Sandra Barrett: How about checking at the hose connection on the reservoir container pull of the hose turn the wiper wash cycle, if you get fluid flowing, then it probably a plugged up hose or wash nozzle (most likely anyway ) or pull off the hose at each nozzle and check there.
I got a 93 Oldsmobile with wipers that only work when they want to. Sometimes they don't and sometimes I have to keep the switch turned on for a while before they start moving.
What is the issue if turning on my wipers which is the first speed the wiper blades activate halfway then stop but in intermediate speed and high speed it all works just fine?? Can’t be the switch because it triggers the motor….can’t be the motor because in full wipe and high speed wipe mode the wiper motor works just fine. Problem is I use my wipers in intermittent mode more than full wipe or high speed which doesn’t miss a beat. Someone give me some help here.
my wiper motor works fine. I'm just trying to figure out why do my wipers slowly drag across the windshield when I'm driving Against the Wind although they're not turn on. it didn't always do this. So I don't know what to make of it. any suggestions on what would cause this?
I bought this '93 Pathfinder from someone not realizing the washer fluid won't come up. Changed out the reservoir and motor but still nothing comes out. My guess is that the switch is bad since the fuse and the motor is good...
I have to tap my wiper motor. 2013 Prius. Can it be cleaned or is it easier just to replace? If tapping is needed to get motor going, is it time to just change it? thanks in advance.
i have 92 f-150 my washer works all sigles work 4 ways work high and low beem work just none of the speeds for the wapers well work i put brand new waper motor on and still the same and tested the ground has good ground from motor too firewall i did the oms test and no mater what seting ur on it stays at 1 does move from 1 at all any ideas
I have a 1990 ford ranger and I just replaced my turn signal switch and now when I put my right turn signal on and my high beams are on my wipers go on and my lights dont have to be on, could my wiper motor be shorting out at that spacific time? and if it is how do i check it or test it?
My problem is different! My windshield wipers work excessively when its rainy it goes over the driver side plastic by the window on the left, I don't know what causes it to do that?

Well, I realize this is 9 years later, but just in case you’re still having that issue, it’s because one of your wiper arms is seizing up. You need to remove the linkage etc. & disassemble it where it pivots & spins back & forth, clean it, sand it, file it or what have you, grease it, oil it etc. & then reassemble. Hope that helps finally.
@GeckoCkCkCk Found out what the problem was before I moved back to the Northeast from Atlanta. It was the PUMP! The pump was BAD!! An old guy at the Pick-A-Part junk yard in Union City, Ga was the one to finally figure it out...and replaced it with a $10 one off of a junked truck! A freaking $10 PUMP! After having gone thriugh all that!! Imagine!!!
Hey if u have time could u please answer my question. I have a 2005 honda accord and the wipers and fluid stopped working. I took to an auto repair guy. He said its the relay and the entire box has to b replaced at $465 and with labor it would b $600. I dnt have that kind of money and am I getting scammed? Thank u.
just watched your video mine is regarding my rear whiper I can turn on the motor it makes a weird loud noise but the whiper doesn't move so I took it off correct me but if the motor wasent working it shouldn't make noise right it's on a 02 tahoe lt
does this work for wipers that wontstop ? cause i tryed to trun on my car the battery is fine but then i tryed turning on my engine and it wouldnt cause it was too cold but now after i got it going my wipers wont stop moving evertytime i turn it on and my blinker lights r on but not blinking unless i use it everything still works fine but its just my wipers wont stop moving now
ya thats what im thinking too cause the car runs and its fine onlyu problem wipers wont stop and low beams not working right and my flashers too so i dont think its the battery but ya i have my app at my mechaninc for friday
Check fuse. Good? Buy a new wiper motor. Hook your wires up to it. If it runs, your old motor was bad. Swap motors. If it doesn't, your relay is bad. Return the motor and get a relay.
I have a 2014 Mitsubishi RVR and this winter when the temperatures got below -20 degrees Celsius my windshield wiper wouldn't work - the rear one - no problem. I took to the garage and they said it was a fuse. 3 days later with -20 C weather, they wouldn't start again. I called the dealer, which is an hour drive away and they said to bring it in and if it was the motor they would replace it under the warranty. Did that and they said it was frozen! They told me to pour some windshield washer fluid onto the motor, as it would act as antifreeze and defrost the motor. Has anyone else had this problem? It is a real pain for me to have to do this everytime the motor is frozen and I don't think I should have to do it. Would anyone suggest that I call the dealership and tell them I am not happy with this solution, as it is inconvenient for me. I have very bad arthritis in my knees and back and just having to stand to do this causing me pain.
Wtf is this this video? Are u guys trollng?? Worst advice ever. Bottom line. If ur motor makes noise, drags, is slow, does t have enough power. It's the MOTOR. replace it. It's not worth your time to waste time on.
