If that is a 3d object, and we apply the sectionplane command, the triangle would be hatched.

Though it's late, I hope if you consider hatching in paper space, ✋

Isnt it wrong that the triangle wasn't hatched ? U made a cut across this block so as far as I know we consider it as a material, please tell me if I'm wrong

Hi Adam, it does seem odd that the triangular section isn't hatched as we did cut across it. This is just the convention for section views, because the triangular part is a thin web of material it remains unhatched even though we have cut through it for the section view. If it was hatched it would give a false sense of solidity to that part of the object. I appreciate it's a bit confusing but it's just how it's done! Hope this helps.

He said it was too thin to hatch? Different standards for different countries?

Sallie, it is the same in the USA. Webs and vanes/blades are not to be hatched.

The triangle should be hatched and the line bottom of the tringle should be deleted to make one surface

It certainly seems that way doesn't it? If the triangular section was thicker I'd agree with you. But strange as it may seem the convention is that we don't hatch thin webs as it creates a false sense of solidity in the drawing.
