I've been an AutoCad user since Dec 1992. Was looking for a beginner's tutorial for new employees and this will work perfectly. Plus it is a good refresher course for experienced CAD users also. Thanks for taking the time to put this tutorial together. Have subscribed to your channel.
thank u very much! this is the most amazing tut for AutoCAD I have ever watched I hope u can do more of this kind of full version of separated vid this is so helpful and would be very comfy for the ppl like me who hate short vid , and prefer the long and complete version for every series in this awesome Chanel thank u again
Thank you very much for your review. I prefer the videos separate, because for me it's too long to be honest. It's important to understand people like you prefer this kind. Take care.
@@CADinblack I meant that if u could collect these small vid after u finish them in a complete version it would be cool I didn't meant u should record at one time the long version, this is so hard and difficult as u said It's just as another option by editing them together

A most appreciated tutorial. There's a ton to learn here and thank you for putting together such an easy to follow work-flow. For a first timer like me it is incredibly helpful.
You are my hero. I had been used vectorworks for years and need to work in autocad for mac. Your tutorial is the more effective to start with. Congratulations.
at first, i picked a tutorial from Udemy for autocad for beginners as I am, they instead took me to their website and made me register everything for a series of free autocad tutorial for beginners; I am OK, I did everything they requested. But, when i started the class.something really wrong, the audio is terrible that I could barely hear or understand what the instructor says, then I checked with the comments, it has been like this for many years and still has not fixed, it turns out just another scheme of advertisement and wasted my time! I notice the people from India take control of technology work in America, but they are somehow subtle discrimination against other nationality even the same Asian origin as they are. I found this video and really like it with the details and easy to understand what the instructor explain with illustrations, although he has an accent (who does not have?), but I am sure we can all understand, rather than all the people from India with the accents that is very hard to hear including the Udemy I described above adding into terrible sound quality. thanks a lot for making this quality video for learning. I subscribed to your channel to support you.
Thank a lot for this comment K M. I try to produce this content to be as simple as I can. I also think the illustrations can help. I wish you to keep motivated in learning!
Thank you so much! I've been offered an internship by my dad if I can learn CAD Drafting. This was excellently put together. I really appreciated the exercises. The captions also helped me a lot.

You make excellent videos. Its too bad I dont have enough time to spend on them. lets call everyone on RU-vid that are making videos and show them this...How to make a clear explanation video, how to teach , with clear explanation and teaching process. Step by step. Teaching is more than just flapping your lips, and hoping one person in a whole group understands.
Hi, I'm a new learner of AutoCAD, I find it amazing and to me it seems quite easy to implement. Good job! Anyone knows from where I can get access to 2020- 2021 software. TIA
Nice job- thanks. I believe you made an error when describing the arc feature. Autocad default is counterclockwise, not clockwise. Am I correct? This is also the default in mathematics/trigonometry.
Hello JB Restless. Thanks a lot for your appreciation. However, have in mind that a Video Tutorial is different that teach in a class. When editing a video we have time to think to show exactly what we want. In my opinion, Video tutorials should be an additional tool for students and eventually teachers.
Hello CAD in Black, I use your video to learn CAD beginner. I have a question, as I use CAD 2016, how can I create a drawing in CAD with the actual size, in inches I want? i am using your CAD tutorial for my project now using 3D Printer to print out the parts for my machine; this is why I need to know how to make the drawing exactly with the measurement the 3D Printer would print out the parts I need for accurate machine installment? If you could elaborate step by step how to do in your CAD, I appreciate?
At 25:34, I think you've made a mistake by saying the arc is being drawn clockwise. What you should have said is ANTICLOCKWISE. Otherwise, thanks so much for the video!!!!
WOW!! I'm at a global top 10 university for engineering and this tutorial is better than what my university has been teaching me. I'm really impressed thank you so much I think so many more people would understand how to use Autocad if the professor had just said go watch this tutorial online. Thank you this is great!!!!
Hi Paul! I think everyone has it's own style of teaching and way of learning. That's why is useful to have plenty of options of tutorials available. I am glad these ones are exactly what you wanted to listen!
Thank you very much Olivia for the compliments. I wish you keep learning. If any question, just post! I have also started a Patreon account where it is possible to support this channel. www.patreon.com/cadinblack?fan_landing=true All the best
Just started learning AutoCAD last week. Your tutorial is great stuff. I reviewed the first 20 minutes twice and jumped in and did the 9 exercises. There were some tricky things which needed me to use my old math trigonometry and Pythagorean theorum to solve a few! I can now move forward to the next section to learn the mechanics of the program i.e. layers. P.S. I spotted an error with Exercise 8 circle radius and note saying ex.5b should be 6b. Overall I am pleased
So glad I came across your complete tutorial for beginners in Autocad. You are the truth. I learned a lot. Well explained and easy-to-understand. Thank you so much. Keep the videos coming, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Subscribed.
I wish you also a happy Thanksgiving to you and family Johnny R. I am happy you learned with this video. Now it's also important to practice. I have some exercises available in a playlist. Have you noticed them? ru-vid.com/group/PLe_I-JWckL7FKZZa0q9e9cRQh8bEDlZnD
@@CADinblack you are most welcome. I have a quick question, if I do your exercise in Architectural mode, as that is our primary unit of measure here in States, will everything come out as on your link-sheet ?, or should I just practice with no unit of measure? Another thing that throws me off is my Professor gives us a sheet with all the coordinates to draw a shape/figure, it comes with a start-point for each shape or figure such as 8'7"-for the first shape, 34'7"-second shape, 64'4" for the third-shape, he stacks figures like in your link-the difference he puts the start-points in, what command/modification controls-drawing that way?
