Brandon here back with another new 2 minute tuesday!
This is the second in a series of collaboration posts with Autodesk/Autocad and the AutoCAD Blog where I am creating Tuesday Tip Articles to go along with some of my Tuesday Videos!
You can check out the last one here (Fields: Making your text smarter): blogs.autodesk.com/autocad/fie...
In today's video, I walk through how to use NCopy to quickly and easily copy objects that are nested in an external reference or even a block and paste them into your current drawing. This can be super helpful when you just need to use or copy a line, or piece of text from an xref but don't want to copy everything in the drawing.
In the video I also go over 2 more ways to copy objects from an xref depending on the situation, so make sure to watch till the end to get some bonus tips!
If you want to keep up to date with new videos, be sure to subscribe to the channel and check out my blog, cadintentions.com.
Oh and let me know what autocad tip, trick or tutorial you'd like to see in the next one down below!
Cheers and thanks for watching

The good old NCopy. Quick way to bring existing Xref in as a block is to select drawing in xref manager right click > Bind... In resulting dialogue select Insert and click OK

What is the meaning of Xref?
@Cadintentions
@Cadintentions 3 года назад
Xref stands for external reference. External references are files that are external/outside our drawing and linked or referenced into our drawing. They can be a wide range of file types including dwgs, images, pdfs and other cad file types.

Your Twitter banner blocks too much of your screen. I like your videos very much, but there's so much time put into promotional remarks. Otherwise, you are doing well. Thanks.
