Ive learned so much with your videos, thank you so much for taking the time to explain things as well as you do. You make life in AutoCAD alot easier. you got another subscriber.
Thank you for your youtube channel regarding AutoCad educational materials, such a detailed teaching style, I am so grateful to have found your channel. 👍👍👍
I am watching you tutorial since six months almost, you elaborate things in such a easy way so, sometimes very complex and difficult things became easier!
Sir ,your videos are amazing and I am also learning to create 3D objects in auto CAD.In the above ,video you told about seeing the associative option which should be unchecked in the design. But in student version of autoCAD there no such option. What to do?
Thanks for your video. But I am stuck on the last step. After I selected the teeth and hit enter to extrude, the command line jumped back to "select objects to extrude". I am using AutoCAD for MAC.
Stan Huang have you checked weather the array is non associative or not? on clicking any element of array if all components gets selected then it is associative array and extrude command cant be used on it. To make it non associative select array type X and press enter then use extrude command.
Great Video! When you divide the circle in the segments with the x's i can't seem to get my line to snap from the center of the circle to an x. I have my ortho on and have changed the angle, i also have my snap on.... what am i missing?
To snap your cursor you can press and hold shift key then right click to bring contextual menu, select required point to which you want to snap from this contextual menu. This method can be used when you are unable to snap to required points due to many other points which are close to your required point.
+SourceCAD I have been trying to choose "Intersection", "Midpoint" and other options, but none makes the line snap to the X. Please let me know what might be the problem.
Turn on OSNAP by pressing F3 key and make sure all points which you require are selected in the osnap menu. Alternatively select any command (for example line etc) then press and hold shift key and right click then select your required point from contextual menu. In this way you can snap to required point.
Thanks to your beneficial videos, :D. Btw, can you help me to explain why when i type "-16" to extrude, the shape goes up (i mean compared to the positive direction of Z axis) and vice versa . That makes me confusing currently.
Thanks for your answering, actually i havent adjusted any thing as i start new drawing in autocad (namly drawing 1 as default). So base on what you suggested me, the situation now i get with the UCS is just the default setting of autocad, isnt it? And i must align it following your suggestion at anytime i start a new drawing, in autocad ?
If it is default condition then you need not align it, you can point your cursor in the direction in which you want to make extrusion and then enter distance in positive direction.
Sara 98 its going to be incredibly daunting task to make an engine with AutoCAD, a better option would be using a parametric software like Autodesk inventor which can do this task more efficiently
