thank you for your video , is there a way scaling an object to different reference distance for the x and y axis? I am drawing up an old house with lots of different sized doors with detailed mouldings and would like change the widths and door heights quickly while keeping the same details.

I think that your use of an object of specific dimensions, a table with chairs, is a bad choice. The first rule of AutoCAD is model space entities have real world dimensions. Graphic entities do not. I am not sure what to use as an example. The table without the chairs could be scaled. Perhaps stretching the walls of a room to make it bigger would be a better example. Dave
