Can we set component variable parameter through word / excel file for various different situation (various primary and secondary member) - as the case may be? If yes, can we do it in auto connection, without saving setting with name. Requesting you to prepare video on this subject in future if possible. Thanks in advance.
There is excel design available - but it is for connection design, not just pairing primary/secondary connection values. It would need to be configured with full calculations by an engineer. There is some documentation available here: teklastructures.support.tekla.com/2019i/en/det_getting_started_using_excel If your saved component settings are configured to use excel design, then yes autoconnection can be used to call in those settings which would then run the spreadsheet calculations. For a typical steel detailer, however, you would need a combination of joints.def settings paired with saved component attributes to achieve specific connections based on the primary and secondary member size.
How can i create space frame sphere connection for pipes? And lets say if i choose square pipes for space frame, which connection do i have for that? Or even L profile space frame.
Hello, unfortunately I am not aware of any standard components for space frames, you'll likely have to create custom components for those. I have a few videos on this in the tips and tricks playlist - ru-vid.com/group/PLYbj2JlSfwmapeG7859jzVVcF461Ghxkq but I would recommend reaching out to your local support for assistance with this.
