Amazing !!! I would love to see this in english with commentary. Ive been trying to figure it out for a year how to design a boat hull and then unfold shapes for cnc plasma cutting.
+Chris Gorham The surface model has been sent by one of our customers without information how it was done. It could be done with any surface modeling software on market I guess. Inventor itself also has surface modeling tools - parametric or free (T-splines), however in this case the hull comes from 3-rd part vendor.
Hi Anna, the boat you have unfolded in this video should only have single plane of curvatures for each panel. The canoe video you posted a link to has double curvature in its skin which cant be made in metal unless stretched formed. Do you know how to constraint the lofting of the surface so it can only have a single plane of curvature? Thanks!
