I recently designed a scissors lift in Autodesk Inventor that utilizes one hydraulic cylinder to raise and lower a load. I need to figure out how much forge the hydraulic cylinder needs to exert in order to hold a know weight. This is a statics problem. Hopefully I can sure this frame analysis tool to determine that cylinder force requirement.
