This video tutorial explains how to use Excel's autofill feature to automatically create a list of dates. The dates can be made to be sequential, or follow a different pattern such as weekdays, same day every month, same day every year, every 7 days etc.

I wonder why it doesn't work for me. When I try it even with the black cross, it just copies the same date over and over

Hi, I was getting the same result with the function =today(), but once I inserted the date manually, then find the black cross it auto-incremented.

First minute of the video - It doesn't work form me either. I'm trying to fill series to the right. The year is incrementing instead of the day.

this doesn't work for me. It automatically fills the same date but year advances. When I right click, the day option is not highlighted.

I don't have the "auto-fill options", instead I have "quick analyze". What should I do?

For some reason, for me it increments the year instead of date, and I am also not able to see the fill weekday option at the bottom

Sort of figured it out, I just wrote it in this yyyy/mm/dd format and was able to make it work. The option even showed up at the bottom! thanks for sharing the video, super helpful!

that command is really good to know!!! thank you. is there a command that will get it to read for example November 28th, 2021 instead of just the digitals 11/27/2021 for example
